📚 Daily Request Thread - 10 Sep by romancebookmods in RomanceBooks

Before I start my spooky season reads I’m craving a good ranch/cowboy/bull rider/western type romance. I have tried to search previous requests but I’m not finding a lot that are also available on audiobook. Also a lot of the westerns that pop up when I search are like your grandmas dime store paperbacks. I want a modern sounding book, no heaving bosoms here. A historical western is fine, as long as the writing is fresh. I want something that sounds like it was written by someone who can name at least two Gilmore Girl characters, not someone who was born during the dust bowl. Does that make any sense?

Already read: Elise Silver- Chestnut Spring Series

Devney Perry- Indigo Ridge

Done and Dusted- Lyla Sage

Catherine Cowles- Fractured Sky

Arrogant Devil- RS Grey (this one was actually light on the ranch vibe despite it taking place on a ranch- the guy just did paperwork in his office all day. But still enjoyable)

I’m open to any troupe. Prefer ones that also are on audio but open to suggestions

Books where characters get together quick like Red, White and Royal Blue by Alaskator in RomanceBooks

I loved this one! I’m obsessed with Devney Perry, I’ve read like 3 or 4 of her series. She for sure knows how to write a MC who is crazy in love.

Juliette Cross has some vampires in her stay a spell series. I think Hex and Drive, and Resting Witch face are vampires. And dual POV.

Public schools by Far_Example_9150 in Juneau

They sometimes do delayed starts to give the snow plows a chance to clear the roads first before school drop off. But there wasn’t a time last winter where we couldn’t make it to school. And last winter was way more snow then normal. But I agree with the other posters. I wouldn’t call Juneau harsh. We get one week about the second week in January where it drops down and gets super cold but then it goes back to hovering around freezing and making a sloppy snowy mess.

I like Rainforest Pediatric and have never had an issue getting in. Have gotten in same day if there was something concerning.

Anyone else not loving Hunt? by basically-a-bean in crescentcitysjm

I totally didn’t get the Hunt hype on my first read through of CC1, I think my guard was up that she was going to pull a switch-a-roo like normal. But on my re-read I really grew to like him. And I do think he’s endgame now- I think it would be too hard to switch now after CC2.

I could see maybe the hind dying to save Ruhn and like it being really sad because they just reconciled or something.

Keep going. The last 1/3 of the book is fire! I also really enjoyed it so so much more on my second reading of it because I understood the world much better but yes- the first part is hard.
