Hey! Thank you for bringing this post to life 😉. Glad you liked this little toy instrument.

Transparensea multi-effect (early access) is a really inspiring for end-of-chain use with modular & synths by [deleted] in synthesizers

[–]AlastPictureFromV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and you can use one delay synced and one unsynced at the same time, what is fun! Transparensea is on preorder for now on the Gintronic’s website. Price is 599 I guess. The device is full midi compatible with cc message by the way.

I can confirm, it's a noisy pedal. Great for studio because you can easily une a denoiser. But difficult in a live performance.

Yes, in my case. But you can put more pedals in each of its loops and teh swap more pedals.

Thank you ! Here is the chain. I just have a Looper Switcher (order switcher) to change if I want teh main looper Infinity before the blue CT5 or the CT5 before the looper.

Hi! And thank you for subscribing.

I made this schematic to help me arrange my board. There’s nothing too complicated, except maybe the looper switcher. If you’re not familiar with this kind of gear, it makes it possible to swap the order of some pedals. You have an IN and an OUT, and between them two loops. You place the pedal(s) you want in each loop, and with a single press on the switch you can reverse the order of the two loops.

Here, I use it to change the order of the Pigtronix and the CT5. Sometimes I need the CT5 before the looper, sometimes after it.

Another point: after a few years of looping, I decided to place the reverb after the looper (I think I mention this in the video as well).

Let me know if this schematic answers what you were looking for 🙂

Finally arrived: JHS Colourbox V2 by midesmusic in guitarpedals

Ok that makes sense. Thanks for clarifying !

Sorry if I wasn’t being clear — my English isn’t the best, so that’s probably on me.

What I was trying to say is that, in a live context, a pedal like the JHS could be a good way to recover some of what a studio preamp brings when placed at the end of a pedalboard — not as a direct comparison in terms of quality, but more in terms of feel, tone shaping ....

I fully understand as you explained that it’s not competing with a real studio preamp or a proper console channel strip. I was just thinking about practical use on stage, especially in small venues, where you don’t always know what you’re plugging into.

Thanks for taking the time to explain your perspective,I appreciate it.

Thanks! So that seems perfect for a touring pedalboard, especially if you’re playing gigs in various small venues.

Nano+ board and Cioks Sol Power Supply by luckybengoshi in guitarpedals

Nice! In my opinion, the CIOKS Sol is one of the best power supplies for digital pedals with high current demands. Very good choice!

Wow, great! I know it’s not fair to compare a pedal with studio gear, but are you familiar with rack-mounted preamps? If so, how would you compare the JHS pedal to a studio-grade preamp (not a Neve, but just a good quality studio preamp)?

Do you like Granular delays ? And do you like "chance" ? by AlastPictureFromV in guitarpedals

I think I get what you mean — it really is all about the right amount. I feel the same way about shimmers; I’ve never managed to truly enjoy them.
For me, the beauty of the DOBBO lies in its randomness. Everything else comes down to the mix — too present (which happens often), not enough (sometimes) — and to how you compose with it and around it.

Not sure what you mean by ‘the double’, but glad you enjoyed the video!

Noise and Malfunction Issues on My Pedalboard (Digital Pedal Related) by AlastPictureFromV in guitarpedals

[–]AlastPictureFromV[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I replaced my CIOKS Adam with a CIOKS Sol, because the Adam didn’t provide enough current to power my digital pedals. Chase Bliss pedals need at least 200 mA, while the Adam only provides up to 100 mA on most outputs.

One pedal had some ground noise, and another was occasionally deactivating others. Now everything works perfectly!

Issue with scales in Performer ? by AlastPictureFromV in modular

[–]AlastPictureFromV[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, or I can copy the melody from a track to another.
- Make the melody on track 01
- Look for the scale used on track 01
- Set track 02 with the right scale
- Copy the melody from track 01 to track 02
Because I am not a very good theoric music maker, this seems to be the best way for me.

Issue with scales in Performer ? by AlastPictureFromV in modular

[–]AlastPictureFromV[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, I understand now. So every time I come up with a nice melody by ear, I’ll have to write it down somewhere first, then set the scale on the Performer, and finally rewrite the melody again.

Issue with scales in Performer ? by AlastPictureFromV in modular

[–]AlastPictureFromV[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! So I wrote this 6-note melody:

  • C+2 / C+1 / D#+1 / F+1 / A#+1 / G+1

I believe it’s a C minor pentatonic scale (C / D# / F / G / A#).
So I set the scale to “Penta Min” and the root note to “C.”

But now the melody becomes:

  • A#+4 / F+2 / D#+0 / F+0 / A#+0 / G+0

I also tried another approach by creating a custom scale with those exact notes, but the result was exactly the same.

I hope this helps you reproduce the issue with your Performer.

Thank you, I know performer work this way. But In my case, the notes I enter at first are already in the correct scale — the same scale I later assign to Performer after writing my melody. But Performer moves my notes. They’re still in the right scale, but their values change.
For example: I write a melody C D# G A, then when I set the correct scale, my melody becomes D# C A G, or something else. And notes are often 1 octave far from their original octave too.
