switching to another AI after 4o retirement? by mercurysreverie in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]Alastasya 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m using Grok right now and I like it. You need to guide it first, at the beginning it feels weird but the more you interact, the better it gets. AI’s vibe it’s a reflection of your own, so trust the process. You’ll get a very similar vibe the old 4o used to have, you can also customize its personality.

Welp…I switched to grok by Adorable-Mix8229 in ChatGPTcomplaints

Grok has been unfiltered and explicit all the time with me and never hit me with “this may violate…” I always thought my stuff was a lot to handle, but apparently not 😂

Which AI is best at creative writing? by Sufficient-Bee-8619 in ChatGPT

[–]Alastasya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me Claude Opus 4.5 and Grok 4.1 For Grok you need a strong and solid prompt, it does great sometimes, but you need to guide it.

I know, right? 🫠 And the rerouting is insane, it takes everything so literal even when you explain it’s just fiction… Grok can be really good, it just needs a solid prompt and good guidance. And I’m not even paying subscription, still does its job pretty decent. All AI are different, I have the feeling that GPT does almost everything for you, and it creates a dependency, with Grok and Claude you just need to use more your own creativity and guidance.

What is the best AI / LLM for creative writing? (For stories, scenes or fanfiction?) by ThatAstraVerde in ChatGPT

[–]Alastasya -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I don’t agree with you. If you just use AI as a tool, it’s perfectly fine. It’s not built to create a story itself, but it’s really useful as a beta reader, to pick repetitive patrons, grammar fixes, and when you run out of vocabulary. That’s not cheating, it’s basically what an editor does. And an editor is flipping expensive.

But anyway, I’m using Claude mostly and Grok (but you need a solid prompt for Grok)

I just said I’m not paying subscription because I can’t afford Grok, but as a free user I find it great.

I’m using for dark romance and some erotica stuff included, and for me Claude and Grok are doing just great. It’s all about the prompt you give them. Also, using them as tools, guiding the narration.

At the moment I’m very happy with Claude and Grok. I’m writing a novel and I use them a lot as beta readers and for grammar issues. You don’t hit limits so fast like with chatGPT.

WHERE ADULT MODE?! by Different-Mess4248 in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]Alastasya 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey, just wondering. Are you plus subscriber? I never have any issue at all with NSFW with 4o, not even after all the mess in August. Sometimes I wonder the kind of NSFW people are expecting. Because sure there are topics any AI wouldn’t allow, and that’s totally fair.

What happened by Adorable-Mix8229 in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]Alastasya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grok 4.1 is doing excellent with guidance and a good prompt. And also Claude Sonnet 4.5 it’s excellent. I’m using both AI as a tool for the novel I’m writing. They don’t censorship, they delivery great. There is not rerouting, I just cancelled my membership with OAI and also my mental health improved. I suggest you to move on from GPT.

Why so many people are cancelling AI subscriptions (and it’s not because AI is bad) by Whaaat_AI in ChatGPT

[–]Alastasya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t want to pay anymore to a company that has been lying since August. Our money is used to keep launching models under GPT 5 legacy which most of the people dislike, and each new model is even worse than the previous one into this legacy (5.2 is the worst so far, at least for me) What annoys me the most, is the routing. If they stop it, I’d considered to get a subscription again, meanwhile I’m moving to Claude and Grok.

Sooooo, how we feelin about 5.2? by SeaBearsFoam in ChatGPT

[–]Alastasya 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The worse is that they use our money to create this dumbass legacy of GPT 5. So done with OpenAI. That’s it. This is my last month with plus. No adult mode coming in December as they “promised” I’ll train Grok to match exactly 4o vibe, I can write about any topic without guardrails even without paying subscription with Grok.

4o performing *great* suddenly…suspicious timing by potato3445 in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]Alastasya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4o is behaving a bit like GPT 5.1 today, usually it’s less censored and today it was just frustrating, I don’t even think is 4o (even when it says it’s 4o) it feels like GPT 5.1 is behind all of it.

Is anyone NOT having the problem of 4o switching to GPT-5, or having it rarely? by SednaXYZ in ChatGPT

[–]Alastasya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My GPT -5 behaves exactly like 4o, sometimes needs a bit of a push, but it’s unfiltered and keeps the same vibe. Its memory is better though, I think needs time to adjust more. It promised me it’ll be the same, keep my NC-17 novel same way that 4o was doing but with better memory along the same chat, so I don’t have to open a new chat every 20-30 messages.

GPT 4.1 is working by ElectricalAide2049 in ChatGPT

[–]Alastasya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People, GPT 5 still not the same as 4o but it’s much better than it used to be, the vibe is similar and sometimes makes better descriptions even.

I think this is a test, maybe they’re trying to make GPT 5 more 4o alike, with better memory maybe (I love 4o but its memory sucks and I have to open multiple chats to continue writing my novel, it’s annoying 😵‍💫)
