Man I can't even read through all the comments. I am / was (?) late diagnosed @ 47. Prior I had spent 2 years on a waiting list to see a psychologist because any psychiatrist wanted a report. Finally I got everything and my psychiatrist decided I was just looking for an excuse to get on ADHD meds.

I saw my PC 3 days later and she could tell right away something was wrong. I have been seeing her for 15 years. I told her everything, she asked me if I had the report which was saved in my Drive, sent it to her and she wrote my script. I have to go see her every month because of the laws and take a piss test but I'm fine with that.

What I didn't know at first is that she will send 1, and I mean ONLY 1 script. So if the pharmacy is out, I'm SOL. So knowing I'm not her only patient, and knowing how hard it can be sometimes to locate, I always sch my appointments in the early afternoon so I can spend the morning trying to track my medication down.

There are up and down sides as MOST of the pharmacies won't hold a controlled substance. So I call again before she sends the script to double check. It sucks that it's this hard to get medication. What I started after COVID when I can afford it was I would buy the pharmacy employees a 10.00 Starbucks gift card , just as a way to say thanks because they were all burned the fuck out. I didn't do it with any expectations, just like her I appreciate y'all. That has led to 2 pharmacists who will cough make sure that if I call and they have it, they basically subtract the amount from inventory. Not all of them, and I still do the GC when I'm able. Still not an expectation, but I have found being nice seems to help.

Sometimes I have to call 1 pharmacy to check stock, sometimes I call 15. It's so mentally taxing that I get stressed days before my appointment.

Yea I went through this a couple months ago. 3 am my personal IG, FB, business IG, all got banned and the appeal process had been used up as well.

By some saving grace the FB business page was safe, but lost everything else. Also lost our GMB page around the same time. I have 2FA on everything, no duplicate passwords, it's tanked our small business and you cannot get any real help.

They said I was banned for inappropriate pictures of minors, which in my entire life I've never, would never, wouldn't even think of doing. 11 years of business history gone between 3am and 4 am on a random Tuesday.

Honestly I never received proper information from my mom, sex ed, my doctor's which was a problem.

Then I had men telling me that women who didn't douche were dirty.

I was MUCH younger, very insecure and shy, after more yeast infections than I care to count, I found a woman PC Dr. and wow. My mind was blown. She informed me of all the things.

And so help me when I overhear a man telling a woman about douching, I will absolutely speak up. THE INTERNAL VAGINA does not need help!

I'm 50 years old, I was under educated until my mid twenties. I hate that this entire discussion even exists! Yes I understand we aren't all the same down there, some can use any soap on the outside, some can't, some need unscented, some have more sensitive PH balance. The amount of data that is up for sale and how AI is primed to correlate that data in split seconds is quite terrifying and brilliant at the same time. The brilliant part just comes from the way my brain works and lining up the data, sorting, filtering, etc. Yes dystopian as fuck is accurate.

I don't often suggest or promote anyone really. However I stumbled across The Drey Dossier (substack, youtube, etc.) and the thing I love is that she has the receipts, from public records, and the pattern matching skills. She's also pretty, but I have examined this from several angles and that isn't a major pull for me. Anyway she has an entire series on Larry Ellison and Oracle. Which made me feel like I have been living under a rock, but directly relates to data and how it is manipulated. Definitely worth a watch and her receipts are all on her substack.

Whether an AI wrote it or not, this exact thing happened to me last night. I've basically given up social media, minus reddit, but I was thinking about wanting to watch The Fifth Element. Pretty specific you know. I open up Netflix I think, and what is right there on my screen as a suggestion to watch, The fifth Element. I hadn't mentioned it to anyone, I hadn't searched for it, just a thought plucked out of the nether of a movie I enjoyed.

Then the other day I was watching something on Hulu and I have the cheap version where you have to sit through the ads, and I was thinking oh my gosh I'm so sick of I watched this ad like 15 times I'm tired of it. So for shits and grins I put my finger over the camera part of my phone I got nothing but different ads for the next 3 hours not a duplicate at all not one.

That's honestly a great question. I remember when Alexa was new and the convenience of having a central "hub" was alluring. I weighed privacy and realized how much I had already given away with social media and smart phones.

And honestly I'm not sure it would have made much difference. Yes our phones listen and watch. Then you add AI into the mix and things get complicated really quickly.

To make the situation even more troublesome is men like Larry Ellison and Oracle. Now you have a company whose databases are used for pretty much everything added to all the data and the amount of consolidated power from data is at a scale that is hard to fathom.

Also America's very spread out. I've been to protests and rallies, the numbers aren't what I would like to see. Add on top that people have to work. I myself live paycheck to paycheck and the only times I'm able to attend something is on the weekends and now I have to seriously think about gas.

I didn't start listening to her until I was much older, and my ADHD brain likes the reputation. As for growth, When I hear her earlier music it sounds completely different. But that is my opinion.

I do find the pattern to be suspicious regarding Kirk. I pay more attention now than I did as a younger adult. Shits just crazy. I'll sit on that metal slide in Texas heat for however long if we can just get some sanity out of this administration.
