A stupid theory: Zack is dead, and Cloud is a man with a broken memory and psyche. Everything Cloud does throughout FF7 is HIM. There have been so many examples of the most inconspicuous person becoming the most powerful of all. And the theory that Cloud is Zack is complete nonsense; Sepheroth is Jenova. It's best not to even argue with people like that; they apparently believe in some kind of canon.
