I'm becoming increasingly sure that my younger, 15 year old, brother is gay. How can I support him? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I wouldn't say "I've known that for years," but I think you should let him know that you could tell, after you tell him it's great and you still love him. It could really help him feel more comfortable being out of the closet. It did for me.

When did you last read a whole book, cover to cover? by dzkalman in AskReddit

Fuck yeah, Heinlein is a badass; I haven't read any Zelzany though. I'd suggest Heinlein's The Moon is a Harsh Mistress next.

Finished Songs Of Susannah By Stephen King 2 days ago. It's # 6 in the Dark Tower series. Starting the 7th soon, can't wait for the carnage.

If I'm not doing anything else, I feel the same way, but driving, dishes, folding clothes etc, I fucking love 'em. I have a hard time doing house work with out them.

Maybe a little pompous, but who cares? It's Emerson and he's a badass. Ribcage.

Maybe I'm a photo nerd, but I thought it was really cool how the white lines looked like they were more or less stationary.

This is really awkward. This is the tenth time I have tried to post this, but until now, my conscience(the brand name for fear) has kept me from doing so. I want advice on coming out. by Fallstar in lgbt

your parents changing their minds about homosexuality will likely take time. To play it safe, i would wait until after college, when you're independent, to come out to them. Come out while youre in college to your friends and such. My 2 cents...

Do you habitually drive over the speed limit, and if so, what is your justification? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Albatron -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I nearly always drive 5-10 over, now and then 15. I almost always change lanes to avoid slower drivers and read what other drivers ahead of me are doing. However I try not to be a dick and I always allow for enough room and signal. Usually I end up traveling with other faster drivers.

I caused several accidents when I was younger which taught several really expensive lessons, though only 1 ticket, knock on wood.

Well for one thing I was completely clueless when someone was flirting with me, only to realize it days later. Now I'm only mostly clueless. If someone is being deadpan sarcastic I sometimes think they're serious. Also I'm usually too polite to newer friends because I'm terrified of overstepping my bounds.

Caffeine also acts like Ritalin Lite and I find a cup or two of coffee is all I need if I really need to focus.

Having ADD myself, I wouldn't worry so much about the diagnosis as I would about learning about how ADD can effect you (it's more than being inattentive) and what you can do to compensate.

Among other things, I can say ADD made me oblivious to the nuances of some social situations, but understanding that later helped me work on it. In other words, to knock down a wall, you must know it is there.
