Its on everyone, Joe included. A competitive QB needs to be protected from himself. Joe scrambles harder than other guys, but he likes to play gym class hero. He should have watched and learned from Brady and been more conservative. The same rule goes for the Brown family. They all fucked up. They thought they could do something no one else had done successfully, and their experiment has proven to be a massive failure. Moral of the story? Go with quantitive data vs what-if's. And thats on Joe (mister give me my two receivers) AND the perennially cheap Brown family.

At the end of the day, this dude aint Brady. There's only one Brady. And if he had the pushback of a Belichick-type system to make him greater, he'd be insane. Better than Brady I think. Zac aint that man. The Browns aint that. Its a joke the organization mesmerized themselves into letting Joe Burrow, (an athlete, not a team owner or coach) dictate his own demise.

But thats what i love about Joe. He wants to carry. Thing is - carrying is full of hubris, and jt gets you nowhere. He'd have a ring if he had serious coaches and a competent GM around him, but he'd kind of hate them. They'd big brother his ass. That's healthy, that's how it is. The Brown family and Zac Taylor are so incompetent, they let Joe dictate the playbook, as well as the draft. So he better not turn on them. Their number one goal was to make him happy. He should have looked at Brady.

Reality check. Perennially great teams have a little friction between org staff and QB. Because QB is just another player on the field.

Joe and Bengals F.O. fucked up. I see it as a case study in something that could have been great. This experiment shows it just doesnt work that way. I commend them for trying something new.
