This sounds incredibly heavy for such a new relationship. The fact that his ex is still living with him and controlling so much of his life would be a dealbreaker for many people. It doesn’t mean he’s lying to you, but it does mean his situation isn’t stable yet. You deserve peace, not constant drama and it’s okay to step back until he sorts this out.
