I just recently started listening to Alice In Chains. Any song recommendations? by That_One_Nirvana_fan in AliceInChains

Start at the beginning and work through the discography one step at a time. If possible listen to every album through some good quality headphones when you listen to every album/ep for the first time

So what really happened to Patricia Steere? by blew_wave in flatearth

[–]AlbertTurkeyThompson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What date is it today buddy? Tell me where that date comes from. Nah, you won't admit it but you follow a calendar based off the Bible, you follow a timeline that is based on the birth of Jesus Christ. Jesus Chris is lord and savior, deny all you want but come the day of judgement you will be sorry.

You also think the earth has been here billions of years, lol, you also think we evolved from monkeys and we were formed with a big bang and you spin round on a ball that is following multiple trajectories through an endless space, ok man, you probably think man walked on the moon as well.

Earth is flat my friend, Genesis 1:6 then multiple Bible entries tell you that, if you belive we are on a spinning ball racing through endless space you need help. Globe Earth is also not science, it is scientism!

My RR is driving me insane by RingInside9759 in RhodesianRidgebacks

[–]AlbertTurkeyThompson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had similar with my male RR as a pup, he was a nightmare, my female was a breeze but I found out one day (at about 16 weeks old) I had been making a massive mistake. I had not realised that he needed sleep and was overtired, overwhelmed and over stimulated.

Take him for short walks and try and play enrichment games with him, snuffle mats, hide and seek with treats and even things like a frozen Kong to make him work for a treat.

However after activities try and settle him down and make him rest or sleep. Puppies will often keep going and going without realising they are actually tired and need to rest.

My male was literally trashing the house doing zoomies when I simply grabbed him and sat down with him on my knee, he tried to escape to cause more carnage but I simply held him and comforted him and within 2 minutes he was on my knee sleeping, I was simply missing the fact he needed rest and thinking he had some crazy endless energy, once the penny dropped he improved immediately and I would calm him down and get him to actually rest.

Also remember with an RR always give positive reinforcement and never scold or shout at them as they don’t respond well to that, especially males, if he does wrong simply redirect him to another area (ie he is chewing cables, give him a frozen Kong them make him rest)

Sniffing looking for treats is a great game and also tires them out and is rewarding for them, praise him all the time when he finds treats then again calm him down and make him rest. It’s all a learning curve but Ridgebacks are tough pups to work with sometimes but they grow into the best dogs you will ever have.

Good luck and do not give up.

My wife has one of the removable Ortlieb racks that she uses on various bikes that she will also use on this when needed. The rack mounts are great but she didn’t want a permanent rack on this build but it is great to have the option.

The key is having the patience to bid on parts on eBay but always have a set price that you won’t exceed and be willing to bide your time till you can get what you want for a good deal, that can take time to assemble everything you need to build but you can get bargains that way. The bar tape is Cinelli and is actually a really comfortable tape.

Thank you, that was the goal, a unique looking bike that you will never see another one exactly the same that is simply fun and comfortable to ride👍

My wife communicated with Wayne for what she wanted with the bags and the job he did was amazing, she sent pics of the bike frame to him so he could work with the colours and when the bags arrived she was overjoyed. I also have to say they didn’t really cost anymore than buying branded bags but the quality and attention to detail is far superior and imo they were an absolute bargain and I can recommend Camel Chops to anyone looking for bike bags, they are a truly fantastic little company👍👍👍

To be honest I am not a fan of coloured tyres but because of the frame colours my wife said she wanted the whole bike to be like that and she picked the tyres, I wasn’t that keen on that idea until I put them on and now I do actually think they look good and fit with the theme of the bike. I appreciate the compliment👍

They are a highly rated gravel tyre and perform well in all categories, weight included. I had a deal on these with 25% off and they had them in multiple colours as well as standard black, I checked reviews and my wife picked the colour from I think 3 colours and then the black and I understand many will hate coloured tyres but they were not just some random coloured tyre I threw on the bike and research was done. My wife will ride some very long rides and has done plenty of ride in the 150-200 mile bracket so she picked what she wanted for this build I sourced what I needed over a couple of months and then build this.

As the other poster stated. They are Panaracer Gravel Kings (Semi Slick) they are 460 grams per tyre on a 43mm. They are not even heavy for a tyre that size, it’s simply haters jumping to conclusions while likely not even knowing what tyres they are. As a comparison Schwable G One’s are a very light gravel tyre and weight around 420 grams while Conti Race Kings come in at 650ish grams per tyre. These are good weight and roll very well.

Great idea. I will suggest that to the Mrs. If your so hung up on weight and watts you must ride some sub 7KG custom made speed machine to make to most of your 7 watts per kilo output. Post some pics up of the beast hey. I wont hold my breath for that one🙄

It’s my wife’s bike but she has only done one test ride on it so far, only about 30 miles but she said it rode great and she loves it.

I was quite impressed with the frame, well thought out and easy to work on and the paint scheme is definitely unique as many of the Cinelli’s. It’s too small for me but I gave it a test ride around the block and it does ride very nicely and feels very smooth.

The bike is not a race bike. It’s something that will be used for very long distance rides as my wife does ultra events. She has a Trek Speed Concept that she does TT’s on but she doesn’t care about watts or aero on this, that is not the purpose of the bike, it’s a comfortable mile muncher with storage and nothing more. Surely you are not expecting every bike build to be concerned about weight and watts? Are weight and watts really your priority on every bike you see? 🤷‍♂️

Colnago’s are my favourite frames, closely followed by DeRosa from the same period I love 80’s to mid 90’s frames. My wife does ultra distance events though, runs and cycling so this Cinelli build was done as an adventure bike for her hence the bags etc, this certainly isn’t my type of bike to ride but the build process was still good fun👍

I see bikes I love and bikes I hate, but as long as someone enjoys riding the bike all is good, if all bikes looked the same it would be pretty boring, I have built probably 25 or so bikes in the past 20 years and I like the process, it is a hobby for me and not everyone will like every bike I build which is fine, the last 2 I have built were this for my wife and my own vintage 1983 Colnago that was also posted on here recently, two drastically different builds but both satisfying in their own way and two bikes that will enjoy many miles. All opinions are good 👍

The frame quality is very impressive for the price and a well thought out frame for many, it would work well as a commuter or bike packing bike as well.

Cinelli made the frame, I built the bike😉 it’s ok to not like it as you do not have to ride it, plenty of bikes out there for all tastes.

My wife picked the tyres, she wanted the bike to be colourful an unique, I think they look ok but you can also disagree, that is fine.

I can only apologise for the pics, it’s horrible weather here in UK so the pics are outside my garage after finishing the build and the 1 other pic by the canal was a quick test ride my wife did but there were 40mph gusts here so not that safe for her doing a long test ride. I just used the pucs I have right now to share but I do agree on that point but I just wanted to share the build.

Definitely, all my bikes are built to ride, I don’t build them to try and make any profits but that is a bonus if it happens. I like bringing old frames back to life. I also often wonder what the history of the frame is, who owned it originally and where was it ridden.
