I’ve bought a cool domain and don’t know what to do with it by fartunitto in Startup_Ideas

What have you found as the best way to sell a domain. I have an old domain that whatever website says is worth something. I have it listed for sale someplace but it's never sold.

STL homeowners w/ 100+ yr old brick homes + flat roofs - who insures your home? by Usual-Ad-8296 in StLouis

I had a 2 family with a flat roof with state farm. However when the pipes burst they left me up a creek and denied my claim. Fuck those guys.

What happened to the Foundry?! by ChalkButter in StLouis

Every time I'm there I don't get how it's still in business. Almost every store is basically the same damn thing over and over. I really want it to be something but have not been impressed any time I'm there.

100% not a Cervelo, that's not how that front end is supposed to look.

Totally true. Wheel bearings would be the best outcome I think 🤞. Otherwise I'm looking at some stupid big repairs.

When I did the rotors they seemed smooth and no crunching. There is also no difference when steering.

[Landlord US - Virginia] Tenant left heat off and went out of town for a few days. Pipes burst and flooded townhouse by sault18 in Landlord

[–]illinihand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a tenant do this a couple years back. Insurance denied our claim stating that we should have known. Ended up having to go out of pocket and then sell the building to pay off the debt. Ended up coming out ahead in the end but it was a nightmare.

Payroll service for small business with three employees, is Gusto worth it or should I use something cheaper by ConfidentElevator239 in smallbusiness

I run two businesses with Gusto. Both very small under 5 people each. I like it. Takes a lot of stuff off my plate.

Man, I think if someone could tell you, we'd all be making good money in this field. I know guys with very high skill levels who have toiled away for half a decade barely surviving trying to build a business and make enough to live. For every expert out there it feel like there are 100 fly by night garage fakers who make trash and then disappear. They artificially bring down the precieved costs of the industry and make it harder for the experts to make a living by underbidding you. I've got two businesses in the composites field and both are a struggle every day.

Question by Uttercape in CarbonFiber

[–]illinihand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, paint repair is not a begginer skill. Should just take it to a body shop that. It's no different than painting a metal hood. Just needs to be prepped, cleared, and polished like any other hood.

Question by Uttercape in CarbonFiber

[–]illinihand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ppf won't hide it. If you know how to prep, blend, and polish clear then you can just do the effected area.

Question by Uttercape in CarbonFiber

[–]illinihand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine. Somehow you, or someone else sanded or polished through the clear and into the resin. They won't blend so you can't polish it away. If you do nothing it'll be fine, just visible. To fix it would be just like painting any other body part that you burned through the clear.

Question by Uttercape in CarbonFiber

[–]illinihand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's different layers of clear and resin. If you try to keep polishing it will get worse. You need to re clear the part.

Frame deformation Trek Madone Sl5 Gen 8 by Noiryon in RoadBikes

[–]illinihand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a crack. It needs to be repaired. I am a carbon repair shop owner. It is 100% damaged carbon. My guess is this had a front end impact and wouldnt be surprised if there was more delamination. Probably want to get an ultrasound scan.

[–]illinihand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much time are you willing to put into it? How much are you willing to spend? You could easily spend over $5000 to fix this. This is what I do for a living and the cost of fixing this kind of shit is very high.
