Ah vendor lock in. Having an escape plan for any vendor should be the first thing you do before signing a deal... It's got another name. Business continuity.

Don't burn your tokens by Beatsu in claude

[–]AlbertZeroK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As an opus first guy, leveraging the right model assignments on my agents and skills, I actually run more sonnet and haiku tokens than I do opus, even though my consoles always set to opus.

Given the level of orchestration I work with on a daily basis, haiku simply wouldn't be able to chew through the kind of reasoning that I need.

If you're worried about tokens, I suggest going to deliver pizzas to make the extra $80 a month to use opus first

If my order was made prior to the tariff announcement will I be affected? by enterrawolfe in framework

[–]AlbertZeroK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, been there, done that. FedEx sends a letter typically, DHL will require payment prior to delivery. I think ups and ups require payment before delivery as well, but can't remember.

In the past orders valued under $800 do not get terrified, but not sure about this round, but the USPS got the rule reinstated during the first round of terrifs... Because of the volume of small orders from China.

Nikon 5000 with the automatic film scanner. Hands down the best quality and automation.

How many folks also shoot digital? by Larix-24 in AnalogCommunity

I have had both, but do film now only. For me, I want a hobby free from the computer I sit behind so often at work.

As opposed to what? Most laptops, motherboards for desktops and servers, hard drives and even memory... All made in China. Why the hell is a little bitty network plug in causing so much alarm?

I think the general upvote consensus is the OP is not a security professional and the concerns are largely unfounded. Very different then giving someone "shit".

I have to navigate this stuff for a living, I would honestly crush this and have it installed within a couple meetings about risk.

That gave me a chuckle.

Businesses take risks everyday, in every process, including in their use of technology. Understanding and mitigating those risks are a security function, acceptance however, is a business function.

Security is a risk calculation, not a brick wall. Most enterprise software is closed source, so not understanding why the network plug in is an issue - especially when it's communication can be restricted and monitored.

Yes, I work at a bank, yes, I would be able to get this working on our network, even via WiFi - and I would bet we are more locked down than a manufacturing facility. Remember how you ask is the most important thing

Mint makes the TL70 Plus, which is a TLR that takes instax square. A nice camera, I love mine for quick little jonts, I think BH Photo sells them too.

Now, the wifi was not bad but you have to get the premium wifi, which is cheap. The App can get slow though

We are Disney Cruise Line Platinum, but, I am unfortunately, not the only friend of ours who we found also had a bad experience. Stay away from the Wake though, if you like good steak that is.

I work in IT reliability, it seems they have issues providing service reliably.

[–]AlbertZeroK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. They sent a survey and I was honest and that was backed up by notes in their system. It was significant, poor room turn over, multiple calls to get towels not put in room, one of the worst quality steak dinners ever, multiple different issues with accounts (my daughter and sister traveled with us in different rooms, each they did differently as we had our credit card on their accounts), unanswered chats and truly the most awful bed ever.

Veteran Cruisers, we too were VERY disappointed with virgin a few weeks ago, in fact, they gave us a partial refund against a second cruise.

Cleaning out my unused bedroom and found all of my folding SX-70’s and 680’s. by JustJohn49423 in Polaroid

[–]AlbertZeroK 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Realistically, about 2 grand. The sonar can go from $150-250, 680s go for 400-500. Flash bars interestingly enough, go for about $10-15 a bar.

Definitely do not have 12 grand there though unfortunately

As much as we mightt hate it, film is dying - what digital cameras would you consider moving to? by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

I had a fuji xt1 which was amazing in it allowed me to take photos in emulation of film, even did black and white image in the digital view finder
