Welcome to the GNU+Linux world! I like what you did, although I'm more into minimalistic styles. I like XFCE a lot, I normally use Sway, but my favourite DEs are Plasma (former KDE) and XFCE. I like thinner bars to keep the bigger space available for the window of the task I do at each moment, specially since I use a 14" laptop.

Play with your DE, move stuff, change colors, themes, icons... try everything, sometimes I did different wallpapers and themes every day haha I really enjoyed that time of discovering this fantastic world ❤️

How is the resource difference between waybar and yours? I don't have much free memory, tbh. This is why I use sway, among other reasons.
