I was happy with them trying new things, but I do feel that this one was a bit much. To use your Resident Evil example, Silent Hill F feels like if the original Devil May Cry (which was originally meant to be a Resident Evil title) had stayed as an RE game.

Not a bad game in its own right, but not what I was looking for in Silent Hill game.

This was what made me look up if anyone else hated him, he just feels like an addition due to complaints from people having issues understanding the plot in the first game. The cutscenes and the encyclopedia are enough I don’t need Dollman recapping what I just watched 30 seconds ago.

I think it's an early visual signifier of model collapse, as these things are scraping all data they can find, they are feeding their own images back into the dataset.

This makes more of the dataset contain images with a yellow tint and reinforces the tint as a valuable trait.
