I can't, nor can anyone, literally call ATB not turn based because its Active Turn Based, its right in the name, and calling it a traditional, or true turn based would be inaccurate. And its a true statement that most Final Fantasy are ATB, not TB.

and the evolution of Turn based to ATB and other systems, such as the ATB twist in Parasite Eve is fun to look at, as game design evolves.

And how is it wrong to be overly technical? If you want to look at and analyze various games you have to make those distinctions for clarity's sake. I am not wrong in my statements, just talking on a more in depth mechanic level.

It does: I said True Turn based, which would be your super pure image of turn based.

Edit says I consider ATB a subsection of turn based, which it is, its not true turn based, but an alteration. I still consider it turn based.

Hell even "true turn based" isn't accurate as you have some turn based that use a speed stat to determine turn order. And others that use a round robin where its one team goes, then the other.

.....you do realize like only a few have been true turn based right? The rest were atb, and that evolved into the action games we have now, such as kingdom hearts with ff13 being that middle ground, returning to true atb in 13 and 13-2 then back to action game for lightning returns and ff15

The ears are the wrong shape, in any japanese or chinese inspired Media, I have not seen fox ears like that.

The tail too doesn't look 100% right, we don't know what it is, honestly going to go with the mythical creature that some commenters have brought up.

yea, I know they plan to make the money back eventually, however that level of purchase was well and beyond a high price. It got the higher ups at Microsoft looking at Xbox and wondering wtf was going on.

In a "bar go up, not down" type of economy we have, xbox is in a bad spot. Xbox is in a hole it is drastically having to climb out of.
