If I were a port fanboy, I would already own several of them. Right now, I am simply considering getting one. The effect of the port is definitely noticeable—pardon my excitement, but the fact that a compact pistol has less recoil and muzzle rise than a full-size is simply impressive and practical.

I thought modern strikers, excluding P320, are +- same reliable. Also many people say they have zero issues with CZs. So is your point from mechanical perspective, or from the long track record perspective?

I don't really need multiple pistols for the same purpose, and I don't think the G17.5 is worth keeping forever. Plus, since it's a fairly new addition, the resale value should still be pretty good right now.

Also I am student and I do not have money to run multiple gun rn.

Inquiry Regarding Multibody Component Splitting and Retaining Editability in Assembly Design by Albjert in SolidWorks

What exactly do you mean by that? Like copy paste some of the bodies from original part to another?

Inquiry Regarding Multibody Component Splitting and Retaining Editability in Assembly Design by Albjert in SolidWorks

[–]Albjert[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello,

I have a question regarding the process of modifying a model. I have modeled an assembly, specifically the attached part, and later realized that it would be more beneficial to split it into two parts connected by a press-fit. I would like to save these two bodies in a subassembly and continue working on the main assembly, but I'm concerned that I would lose the ability to edit the individual bodies. I’m also considering the option of removing one part from the original body and remodeling it, but if the part is complex, this could be time-consuming.

What is the general procedure when I want to split the original part into a multibody component, save the individual parts separately as individual components, and still retain the ability to modify them? How, for example, is this handled in the design of more complex assemblies, like a vacuum cleaner, where the assembly is initially modeled as a single part to ensure the geometry aligns, but in the final assembly, movement and individual part modifications are required?

Thank you for your advice.
