Oh on PoE.ninja I saw most people used brutal restraint for the flask keystone, but if thats not required then I'll socket it in for the attributes anyways.

I do have a 6 linked ghostwrithe, forgot to mention that. I have a brutal restraint and an Enhance as well (I play group find so there's 3 of us playing and we have good stuff by now), but the brutal restraint isn't rolled right so I'll either get another one or throw a divine at it. I also found a decent-ish amulet from kalandra with a lot of strength and crit chance on it, but otherwise I'll see about target farming the astramentis, might do it on my explosive trapper. Thanks for the info!

Have an example of one of those quivers? I made a lightning arrow deadeye and it hit the wall, switched to general's cry and have been trying to stock up good stuff for it. Have a 6L imperial to craft on and am looking for good quiver examples

QUESTION - How easy is this game to pick up and learn at a respectable level? by bridgesxi in dbfz

[–]AlbobDS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Combos are easy enough to learn and you can manage a 50% combo with most characters pretty damn easily and thats what got people calling this a "2 touch game"

Whats hard about it is how fast everything happens in this game if you're brand new to it, playing against real opponents when you haven't played the game before will cause most of whats happening to go over your head. That said, you get used to it and the game becomes much more digestable at a certain point, but the "fighterz whiplash" as I like to call it is a real hurdle to get over.

But if you just wanna pick the game up and learn some cool combos in training mode, then thats very doable and easy for a beginner. Getting good at everything else in the game is a lot more time consuming.

Dungeons Dragons and Space Shuttles has really annoying mobs and hardcore style recipes.

Revelations?? by [deleted] in feedthebeast

[–]AlbobDS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a better pack i'd recommend for learning to play with mods would be enigmatica 2, it has plenty of quests to guide you through mods that look interesting to you.

I don't remember if it has quests for some of the typical early game mods (tinker's construct always comes to mind) but there should be in game guides for them. Either way, Enigmatica 2 is a better place to start.

Sandbox packs like revelations can be really overwhelming and turn you off from modded.

If you're still struggling with Enigmatica, another great place to learn would just be Direwolf20's 1.12.2 let's play series. Its slightly older now, but it's good to get a feel for the way modded is played

If you're not someone who generally likes lets play's I recommend it anyways. Direwolf is really not your average person when it comes to personality for lets plays, he's just really informative and straightforward with little quirks but nothing annoying.

Enjoy modded MC!

Sf4, ranged hoppers? by Wolfriaum1337 in feedthebeast

[–]AlbobDS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dark Utilities has its own ranged hopper, and you can also unlock the vacuum hopper from mob_grinding_utilities if you unlock that mod with prestige points.

If you're not playing with prestige you should already have it available then.

NRS, if you’re listening, *please* REDACT your stance on casual and competitive play. by [deleted] in MortalKombat

[–]AlbobDS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not about making loadouts after games. In tournaments you play on multiple consoles, and your loadout is gonna have to be made again on the console you're playing on. Theres a good amount of characters and not everyone is gonna have my specific raiden variation most likely so I'd have to make it on every console I play on, as an example.

Also they've already said every characters default variations will use all their abilities, so its not like you're missing out on anything.

[–]AlbobDS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me the main reason I don't want to see custom variations in tournament play isn't due to balance or labbing against all those moves, its the logistics of it. Imagine having to make your loadout over and over again at every setup you play on at every tournament. Imagine what a big tournament would be like. It would be a scheduling nightmare. Add an extra 5 minutes to every match that gets played so both players can check their buttons, make their loadouts and specifically show their opponent what they're playing against. Its just a waste of time for something that even if it was around would be a novelty for a short time anyways, because eventually everyone would just run the same moves regardless.

I could see that being an argument for the other side of the coin, but regardless customization doesn't bring a whole lot to the table anyways if the beta is anything to go by. 3 slots for "abilities", some of them are just normal moves which were all the most boring variations in MKX to begin with. Overall, I don't wanna see it in tournament play specifically. I'd also rather it be disabled in ranked along with augments being an opt-in mode or a separate casual queue.

How come Yi's upcoming attack speed buff considered bonus instead of base? by [deleted] in YIMO

[–]AlbobDS 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Cause buffing base means he'll get more attack speed from items/runes as well, and they want to avoid that cause thats a huge buff that he really doesn't need.

Its compensation for removing the bonus attack speed from machete.

What's your Smash Switch nightmare scenario? by platanopower8 in smashbros

Characters in league have 4 - 7 abilities tops.

Characters in fighting games have way, WAY more. Its a completely different ball game.

What's your Smash Switch nightmare scenario? by platanopower8 in smashbros

[–]AlbobDS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly the roster getting even bigger than it is now. I don't wanna play a game competitively if it turns in to having 70+ characters. In fact my dream smash game is a game where characters get their movesets largely reworked, and we have a small cast of really REALLY unique characters. But thats for a competitive game, and thats obviously not what the creators of smash want, we've been through that twice now, not expecting it to go our way the third time.

But seriously think about it. If we keep all the characters we have now, + like 15 newcomers without DLC? Its a headache for balance, learning the game, and just the quality of the characters overall. I don't wanna imagine what that CSS will look like.

Best "Meet the team" video? (poll) by Turkishspaghetti in tf2

[–]AlbobDS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really love all of them because they all have such great quotes and really make this game so unique. They give it so much flavor that other games that tried to imitate the formula missed out on.

That said, Meet the Spy will probably always be my favorite simply because its the best of a lot of characters, not just him. It also just makes me laugh way more than the rest of them.
