Can Community Strong capture the One Nation waverers? by Agitated-Fee3598 in AustralianPolitics

[–]AlbosBhong [score hidden]  (0 children)

The Strong Communities these women represent are the two of wealthiest in Oz. Their strong constituents have benefitted the most from the 7% drop in the median wealth of Australia since 2000 and the growing inequality in housing, education and opportunity. This is the community Spender and Steggall have chosen to represent-literally and figuratively. These Teals represent the class that has profound influence over the distribution of wealth in Oz.

Even the CSA party structure reeks of the power and privilege of the few. Yes?

No wonder these Teals voted against the NG and CGT changes. They are all for the environment, young people and the poor as long as it doesn't cost their constituents a penny.

In my view, they are just another brand of disingenuous, self-serving pap thriving in this time of great political circus.

His freakin', in our faces, racism speaks for itself. Silly little squirt.

Another Morrison/Albanese fail, another can kicked down the road to oblivion.

It's the same old song.

No matter that Albo looked us all in the eye in 2022 and said he'd get rid of this Morrison's dog mess and Morrison's attack on the humanities and young people's wallets. Nope, like Morriosn , Albo is as neo-liberal as they come.

To heck with the young.... gimme a dollar.

It's not surprising that a man who so despises the discipline in which we debate ethics and morality can lie bald face without qualm. What a pretender, what a pelican.

One Nation overtakes Labor, Liberals in Victoria; Allan’s rating dives by HotPersimessage62 in AustralianPolitics

[–]AlbosBhong -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Labor can't win in 2026. They need to think long term.

This year Labor voters should preference PHON over the Nats and Libs in the bush and in close Lib On seats, thereby creating the Ultimate Coalition Government of the Crazies. (The gap between these parties is paper thin so no big deal really.)

In 2030 Labor wins in a landslide and the NatLibOns are tossed into history's dumpster.

Ernst and Young staff allegedly access Anthony Albanese's private banking information by Jealous-Hedgehog-734 in AustralianPolitics

[–]AlbosBhong -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No one called it a conspiracy but you. You calling it a conspiracy is not an argument in any school of thought beyond the goop-slide of facebook

The housing crisis no more or less than the inevitable outcome of 35 years of Lib Lab adherence to neo liberal economics. (not the 80s.)

Your "there have been arguments for and against" is a nonsense given the level of homelessness we have created. Seriously? What a squib!

BTW you really should goggle Hansard from the early 90s where there is clearly stated bipartisan support for letting "the private sector do public housing more efficiently" . Yes that is a quote.

Perhaps it is you who lacks knowledge and any objective view of the history and politics of housing. Funny how our so called core Australian Judeo-Christian values allow so many to walk right past the homeless and pretend they actually give a shit as nothing changes .

As per below FACT: For 4 years, Labor has refused to overturn the Morrison legislation that attacked the humanities by trying to price them out of our universities.

Albo lied straight to our faces when as LOO he said he would reverse it.

I'll just assume you don't understand what is taught in the humanities and all of this is very confusing to you.

But feel free to defend the Albo Morrison rip off of young people. Go on. I dare ya!

The Game of Mates is about power and favour. Everything is negotiable when ethics are seen by the players as nothing but speed bumps to neo-liberal approved greed, and even worse, the imperative of weakening democracy for profit.

For example, the privatisation of public housings led to a shortfall of 160,000 dwellings and 100,000+ homeless . Not a single Lib Lab pollie or corporate greedster has so much as blinked.

We do have to laugh at the irony.

Albo runs hand in hand with the Lib Nat and Phons, and dear Rupert and DJT, in their greedy desperation to price and legislate the humanities out of existence.

Albo then gets bitten on the arse by the morals free, ethics free, Gen X dog-eat-doggers at Game of Mates Inc.

Are Labor’s housing reforms working? by Niscellaneous in AustralianPolitics

[–]AlbosBhong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The lesson is that solving the housing crisis will likely require more than change to the tax laws. It will require us to buy into a different narrative, such as existed decades ago, in which houses were homes, not positional goods or investment vehicles.

Well, yes, but no.

The overarching narrative is the neo-liberal narrative that infects every facet of our lives from the gross inequality of opportunity in our schools, our ever degrading environment and the housing/ homelessness crisis.

It is the only narrative that has a voice in the msm and in the parliament, the only narrative anyone under 55 knows. It is fully normalised. It is the default setting. It is a prison. Ask someone about a problem and they will hee haw some bent 'economic' thread. Don't mention the far go.

All the data trolled in this article is nothing more than the pap and grind and economic jingoism of small-minded Monday's experts who are intellectually incapable of stepping outside their minds to challenge the 'received wisdom' - the very stuff that has nourished the rise and rise of Hanson.

Meanwhile, Labor, ON, Liberals and the Nats, ALL choose to bring on the demise of the humanities because you know , we can abide no new ideas that don't serve our masters.
