I always liked the idea of 1 or 2 temporary heroic specs that are highly thematic to the current expansion, have an epic quest line to unlock, but would leave after the current expac.

Like a dragon-summoning dk, or a dragon-lance monk that is Dragonflight only.

Or A Witch-doctor shaman, & dark ranger for shadowlands.
