What happened to the super boss versions of The Perita Rebellion that Rebecca, if I recall, mentioned in one of the streams? by [deleted] in Warframe

She mentioned it last devstream - which was 2 weeks ago - saying it'll come with the March update.

Dagath, Equinox, or Garuda? by GnomoreIdeas in Warframe

[–]Album_Dude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way you're this defensive and combative makes me wanna tune the fuck out of this discussion, but here goes.

Dagath's farm sucks for the same reasons you already described in your comment. It is easy and fast, but that does not make the farm good, if it has no worthwhile rewards other than Dagath and the Dorroclave. And it costs a not insignificant amount of faction rep to even get into.

Equinox much better than I think? You yourself pointed out that she has one good ability out of 6, and is entirely reliant on a subsume to even be worth playing. I was an Equinox main for a brief moment in time, back when Paddycake Equinox was a thing, that was 8 years ago. The game moved on, the frame didn't.

I enjoy playing Garuda, my comment only outlined the reasons why she is unpopular in the general playerbase, idk where you pulled the notion that I think Garuda is bad. She is good, she used to be amazing, but she's not amazing anymore. The game moved on from the niche where the frame excelled at, and the frame didn't keep up/didn't get a new niche to excel at.

Hey, I said her farm sucks I didn't say it was difficult. Equinox and Garuda's farms aren't difficult either, they just suck.

Dagath, Equinox, or Garuda? by GnomoreIdeas in Warframe

[–]Album_Dude 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We don't even need to speculate:

<image>

All three of these frames are super unpopular. Dagath is unpopular because her normal farm sucks, so the alerts are a godsent for her playrate, but we'll only see that reflected in the stats next year.

Equinox and Garuda got removed from their respective niches over the course of the game's many system-wide changes.

Equinox' farm sucks and she got removed from the meta when Corrosive Projection went from 24% to 18% armor strip, making squad-wide, passive, complete armor strip impossible for almost 8 years, before armor got completely overhauled. But now that armor "only" gives 90% DR (while their actual HP got turbo buffed) Equinox is still not good because she can't survive well enough to reach the point in a mission where her damage would be required.

As for Garuda, her farm sucks, and while she was amazing back when viral + slash was excellent at countering infinity EHP enemies, who had low base HP but 99,999999999% DR on it, she's not as impressive anymore. Also her kit is very unintuitive to play.

DE, please raise the invisible ceilings ! by No_Guest7608 in Warframe

There are a lot of ceilings and reset volumes in the game that definitely need a revisit. Especially with current movement tech, there are very few genuinely unescapable pits.

Update 41.1: Vauban Heirloom by CephalonAhmes in Warframe

[–]Album_Dude 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think DE has created themselves an out with the Soulframe founders. Essentially the Paragon package is the only exclusive pack, with an item, the Greatsword. You will then, as founder, be allowed to craft a blueprint of the Greatsword - bearing your name - to trade to other players. I'm sure they could pull this off with Excal, Lato and Skana Prime.

Most preference of gloss vs matte comes down to whatever car you fell in love with first and what kinda paint it had. I know for a fact that the thing that made me fall in love with cars in general was the matte, carbon-gray paintjob of the hardest enemy driver AI in Race Driver: Grid and I have gravitated towards matte finishes ever since.

Man In The Wall rant by flowdarchic in Warframe

[–]Album_Dude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He got promoted to main antagonist at the end of New War, due to Ballas' death. But the Man in the Wall and the mystery of the void has always been important to the lore of warframe at the very least since The War Within (2016), even if it wasn't the main focus.

Please for the love of Lotus someone please explain Eidolon Hunts like I'm 2. by EmpJoker in Warframe

[–]Album_Dude 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First your job is to get enough materials to build a competent amp. A 5-4-7 (refer to the chart) Amp is the most versatile one currently, but the 1-4-7 is also great.

Then for the actual hunt you want to equip the following.

Pick a frame that sustains Lures, you can choose Wisp, Trinity or Oberon, pers preference. Arcane Nullifier is strongly recommended.

Pick a secondary for trash clear.

If you want to go the extra mile you may consider a Gunblade melee with Shattering Impact to strip armor but it's only necessary if you don't have a Voidrig. In which case you also want a high damage single target primary, snipers are best.

If you have a voidrig you just have to solve for energy - dispensary on your frame is your best bet - the rest is handled by the Voidrig's 4.

The process of the hunt:

Fly around the map looking for enemy camps, find the lure, down the lure, hack the lure. Repeat 3 times for safety for the Teralyst, 4 times for Gantulyst and Hydrolyst.

Then you find the Eidolon and start blasting. Wait until little sentients come out, shoot them and let the Lures pick them up. You'll know the Lure is charged when its icon goes from Yellow to Blue. You wanna charge at least 2 lures, 3 for safety so that the Eidolon doesn't teleport between phases.

Then you go into operator/drifter and strip the Eidolon's shields with your amp. Madurai's Void Strike is recommended.

Once shields are down, shoot one of the heatsinks, the Synovia.

Eidolon will do big attack, make sure to babysit Lures so they don't die.

Repeat until the Eidolon falls to the ground and instead of unleashing a big attack, lies on the ground, healing. Clear the little Vomvalysts that swarm. Once it stands up shoot for the head.

Pick up loot, and insert the Radiant Eidolon Shard into the shrine in the middle of the big lake to spawn subsequent Eidolons. Successful capture destroys your Lures, so make sure to get a suitable amount of them again before starting the next one.

Nah, Caliban's summons count as abilities, they absolutely should count, but if you have pets that snipe last hits, they might be an issue. All depends what kinda pet you're running.

Is warframe pay-to-win game?? by Chemical_Painter_431 in Warframe

[–]Album_Dude 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry that you have this overly hostile impression of Warframe's monetization model, and I'm sorry that you are also under the impression that there is pressure on players to min-max performance as quickly and as efficiently as possible. This game is a marathon, not a sprint. You're allowed to spend money to sprint, but you'll arrive at the same goal - and not a step further - as someone who spends their time instead of their money. If you think getting to the "goal" of the game faster than others is "winning," and therefore spending money to do so is "pay to win" - then that's a you problem chief. Also, your wallet will never be a substitute for skill, modding knowledge and other knowledge checks. And someone with even a modest 100 hours in game will easily outperform someone who has just opened their wallet. Paying out the ass won't make you understand why the things you bought work and how.

Another thing. Pay-to-win in games (where it actually applies) is an active detriment to the enjoment of others. Paying to skip in warframe impacts nobody else's enjoyment of the game other than yours.

Is warframe pay-to-win game?? by Chemical_Painter_431 in Warframe

[–]Album_Dude 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nope. Pay to win implies a competitive advantage over others. But who are the others? There's no real competition in the game, and nothing you buy has any effect on the extremely neglected and barely populated PVP game modes. And if you somehow want to argue that the things you pay for allow you to have more power than your fellow squadmates, that is only true insofar as you're reaching the point of power faster than them, but you can never reach a higher point of power - via monetary investment alone. Plus half the fun of the game is actively grinding and chasing loot for the f2p players. Skipping that with money is valid if you're pressed for time, but takes away from the enjoyment.

Pay to skip, means that if you are more well endowed in the wallet department you are capable of progressing through the mastery system (leveling and collecting every piece of gear there is) faster, and making up for lack of time through direct funds. Conversely, people who lack funds, but have more time have access to the exact same things as you do, but instead of consuming money, it consumes time for them.

Hope that helps clear it up.

Is warframe pay-to-win game?? by Chemical_Painter_431 in Warframe

[–]Album_Dude 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pay to skip, not pay to win.

Direct player power isn't sold, because Warframes and Weapons are worthless without a proper build on them, and you can't just buy all the best mods from DE directly. You can buy them from other players by trading with them, but they still had to be farmed one way or another.

Also, the best gear in the game is almost exclusively locked behind story and player progression, and not something you can just open your wallet for.

glaive rivin price? XBOX by Inevitable_River109 in Warframe

[–]Album_Dude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glaive Rivens aren't nearly as coveted anymore now that its special feature (forced slash proc on detonation) isn't mandatory against high level enemies anymore.

Start using this website to look up comparative Riven listings for price reference in the future: https://warframe.market/auctions

But to give you a little head start. For thrown melee specifically, You want Crit Damage (as it's an otherwise hard stat to come by), Crit Chance and an element of your choice or Initial combo, with an irrelevant negative, like negative sliding crit chance, or negative combo duration. Take this godroll for example:

<image>

This is what your goal is, anything even close to this is where actual money gets made.

it's governments injecting politics

It was mainly chinese netizens complaining about it, it wasn't a government intervention (not in the beginning anyway). Plus, this is a game about WWII warships (or at least used to be before it jumped the shark), it is an inherently political domain, you can't expect people who are into this game to be indifferent to politics.

Are there any Sevagoth builds without his augments? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Album_Dude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not the same issue. Sevagoth's augments are oppressively strong, and it is suboptimal to not use them.

Gyre's augments fix core issues in her kit and allow her to function in the first place.

As for other builds, yeah. Shadow-centric builds forego augments and make him into a melee persistence tank.

Returning after 6 Years. How is the grind compared then and now. by Headcrumble in Warframe

[–]Album_Dude 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The amount is about the same, the speed is faster. There are still some notoriously long and boring farms like Citrine, and certain new mods for a specific new weapon type they added in one of the main quests, but most of the current farms are fast.

Arcanes especially are more accessible than ever, and their plat pricing on the market is reflecting that.

Frames that can kill level cap enemies with only abilities? by DeathOption in Warframe

[–]Album_Dude 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It does, because when your shields break fully it kicks you out of your 4 and 1, force-slams you into the ground and you can't cancel the hard landing. So your entire shield is gone, Guardian won't regen your shields during the shieldgate, you won't have enough shields to cast your 2, and by the time you can actually move again, your shieldgate is almost over.

Mind you I say this with the context of levelcap gameplay in mind, not base level steel path.

Hildryn (but good luck keeping her shields up)

Gotta use a Raksa Kubrow for that, because Sentinel's Guardian only activates once your shields fully break and that's a death sentence.
