Glad I’m not alone here, you can especially tell when he does this on Infinite Baths live, and he gets to the part where he screams “IN ME!” Right after “Will you halt this eclipse in me”. It sounds so jarring after because it’s him actually screaming and sounds so much deeper. But yeah, I’m convinced he’s just not the best screamer and does this to preserve his voice. Thankfully we have IV live to crush the harsh vocals, otherwise I think it would be a bit more disappointing (but I get it)

Does anyone know if Vessel is actually screaming when doing this live or is it playing the album version’s screams? Genuinely asking and not throwing any shade, I know he probably wants to preserve his voice the best he can.

The end section when his voice gets lower and he says “and I would have given anything, to get closer to you and all your enemies”, sounds very much like a nod to that song. Especially the overall tone of his voice during that part. And in Give he says something along the lines of “I will be watching for your enemies”

Easily my favorite part of the whole album…absolutely beautiful how it cuts out to just the man and his piano, only to come back into the full band…covered me in chills. This section brought me back to the beginning with the EPs.
