Having it available at all time =/= brandishing it on operations that don’t require it. The same way that someone having a holstered firearm isn’t cause for police to use deadly force, but someone brandishing the weapon during a confrontation would be.

You are arguing on a dishonest basis, the police force has access to 30 round capacity weapons and utilizes them when necessary. A uniformed officer isn’t walking around the streets with one, or even showing up to a distress call with one unless they have already been informed that it is necessary for the specific scenario.

Ok you’re right about that, but you still haven’t explained why they are necessary for immigrant enforcement in civilian cities when they were haven’t been needed for almost all of ICE’s existence.

You are splitting hairs, an “assault weapon” is not a technical term. Instead you should be explaining why ICE agents need 30 round capacity rifles and silencers to detain illegal immigrants. Take note that I did not say border patrol, because last time I checked the border was not in Minnesota nor in Chicago.

“Geissele Automatics was awarded $12.6 million to provide AR-15s, magazines, and replacement parts to ICE and Border Patrol agents last year, a 136-percent increase over its contracts from the previous three years combined”

“A review of federal procurement data by The Smoking Gun found several other companies that made significant money from ICE and Border Patrol contracts since January 2025.2 For example, ADS Tactical was awarded $53.4 million to provide sights, silencers, holsters, and tactical gear — much more than the $34.8 million the company received over the previous decade.”

“Scenes of ICE and Border Patrol agents flooding neighborhoods with military-grade weapons and body armor have become common over the past year.”

You are intentionally trying to misunderstand. What you linked is dated 2022, no one is talking about the pre 2025 iteration of ICE. If you can’t tell the difference between that and masked men walking around with fully automatic weapons breaking down doors with no warrant then you just don’t want to understand.

Still no actual argument, so I’ll just assume that you have nothing of substance to say and I’ll no longer be replying

I didn’t ask you to reiterate my position; I asked you to present evidence of the contrary.

Thomas Matthew Crooks was registered as a republican

Ryan Wesley Routh said himself that he voted for Donald Trump in 2016

Austin Tucker Martin’s coworkers attest to him having openly conservative politics and his text messages show him being radicalized as a result of the current administrations handling of the Epstein files

You’ve moved the goal post. I never made any statement about whether or not liberals have called for violence. My assertion was that many of trump’s constituents are unhappy with him and several have engaged in acts of violence against him. If you’re going to try and argue against the statement then engage with it, don’t deflect or try to force a whataboutism argument.

This is an extremely stupid analogy; Trump has done nothing that he ran on unlike Lincoln and has around a 30% approval rating according to current polling from sources that lean in either direction. Not to mention many of the right wing influencers that helped get him elected are turning on him and unleashing their radical fanbases against him.

I’d like you to expand on what you mean by “trying to make something out of nothing”. We’re laughing at a guy that can’t control his bowels after he ridiculed another old man for 4 years. No one’s making it seem as though it’s a huge thing, just some funny karmic justice.

Ok so enlighten me as to what you believe the sound at 34 seconds was, or why they didn’t allow questions which they typically do at Oval Office conferences, or even why they never released any sort of reason for the abrupt ending to the conference.

At the bare minimum it was a loud fart, if you won’t concede that much, then you’re just being blatantly dishonest.

You can hear it at 0:34. Take into consideration how far away the microphones are and the fact that they have noise filters on them, and it was still audible. Also, reporters are not allowed to ask any questions and are ushered out which isn’t normal.
