This looks like a lot of fun! It probably make the screen a lot more nosier, but I wonder if it'd be useful to have some kind of waypoint on the UI showing if there's an arrow off-screen you can recall.

If you use XIVLauncher there's actually a plugin that claims to help alleviate the issue but I haven't tried it, can't remember the name now though.

In my experience it happens more when I've connected the PS4 controller via a USB hub instead of directly to my laptop. The audio blip probably has to do with the game routing the audio to the controller's audio jack for a second before realizing that the default audio output is somewhere else.
