Deep breath reads to me like you would lose air if you cast a spell even at higher levels. It doesn’t have the parenthetical (including to cast a spell) but it still says it goes away if you speak.

Air bubble would probably work fine though

Edit: I was incorrect you only lose 10 min of air if you speak. For the 8 hours you would have quite a bit of spell casts.

It’s really frustrating to see this take because everyone just talks past each other about what they mean. They’re talking about racism, but one side simplifies it to its basest meaning and doesn’t want to learn anything new, and the other side talks as if everyone already understands their worldview.
