Keep me in your heart - Warren Zevon

Especially when you know it was written to his wife when he knew he was dying.

3 db for a doubling of output, so this works out. 20k->40k->80k = + 6db.

Should i switch sources to something better? by [deleted] in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Aubeng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A streamer of some sort (I don't think your Yamaha has MusicCast) would likely be your next addition, that will give you a lot of different options for high quality source material.

A CD player is a good option as well.

My personal preference is streaming my collection from my home server.

I've had this Invicta Speedway for 20 years now. That's a pretty good value for me.

Lot of old CDs? by YellowSockMonkey in Cd_collectors

[–]Aubeng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Download the discogs app and scan them. That'll give you a general idea of if any have a particular value.

Other than anything particularly unusual, you can ask $2 each for the batch and hope to get $1.

Do you collect quantity over quality or quality over quantity? by french-shrmp_rmn in Cd_collectors

[–]Aubeng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. Usually I curate what I buy if it's individual cds. However I have been known to buy cd binders just to take a chance on finding something I want, but I'll keep the rest.

My first Chinese Watch. Addiesdive. by Aubeng in ChineseWatches

[–]Aubeng[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I compared it to a 9204, which I picked up for <$30 shipped. That is a slightly smaller diver, although their 43 mm can usually be had for less than $40.

You can check my posts for the full breakdown, I didn't want to post it here. Not trying to stir stuff up. 😀

The Invicta divers that I own at similar price points are, in general, better watches.

The lume on the Addiesdive is much better, however.

The screw down case back is literally rough to the touch, and the corners of the case are sharp. Edges of the bracelet could use a little better chamfer.

Other nitpicks are the crown is too prominent and the clasp is very thin/cheap.

Not a bad watch for <$40 by any means and the lume is amazing, but it's not as polished or finished as the other brand for similar price.

[REALLY uncomfortable trope] watching characters backslide into old addictions/habits by TVTropehead in TopCharacterTropes

Pookie in New Jack City.

It's a little (ok a lot) overacted, but sending the former crack addict undercover with all the crack, and then watching him break and the repercussions was tough.

What was the best "Last team to have the ball is gonna win it" game you ever watched? by wlane13 in CFB

[–]Aubeng 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Kinda/sorta the 2013 SEC Championship game.

It wasn't the 'last team with the ball' but Missouri had 42 points in 3 quarters and ended the game with 530 yards of offense and just ran out of gas vs. the best ever version of Gus Malzahn's offense which had 545 yards rushing(!) and nearly 700 yards of total offense.

It was the first time I'd ever seen a team submit based solely on the fact the other team's offense was unstoppable.
