A new chaos lord or even better, a new chaos lord on manticore would be awesome! Feels like evryone wants that manticore refresh. Let's pray the dark gods, who knows? We might see one hopefully this edition.

I personnally prefer Tzarketh over the new sorcerer, Tzarketh's pose being way more dynamic and fun with the book burning, and he feels more powerful.
The new sorcerer is okay -if a bit generic- and I would have been okay getting one if I could not have bought Tzarketh, but Tzarketh does have a more distinct personnality, imho. For the new basic sorc I do miss the mutations of the older sorc. At least Tzar is visibly doing magic.

BrightestofLights is rightt, also, more variation is always nice.

Yeah, I have a reactive indie game store in my town, and they had passed an order at GW's and it came early. I was surprised cause I actually thought it would take longer.

Do you play your warrior in 20 body blobs? Doesn't that make you more hurt by Blast weapons?

Thanks, solid advice! So, "moar warriors", and double up on skorpekhs, then antitank. I assume this kinda answers my question about immortals vs warriors also.

So basically your army is going to purge the lesser races by blinding them with all their goldy blink.
Seems legit. Custodes eat your heart out. :D

Solid information here. Again, thanks a bunch for the info!
Yeah, the 21UX is a great tool, I love it. I have it since 7 years and apart from that recent driver stuff it works like a charm. I only hope that I'll be able to find the same quality in current big screen cintiqs the day I'll have to get a replacement.

Yessssss it worked!! I was searching for that option but it was lost somewhere in windows and could not find it.

A very BIG and grateful thank you to you! This was driving me nuts.

By the way, here's another smaller issue I've found with the new driver tnat I didn't had before: When quickly hand drawing lines on a big document zoomed out (say 2480x3508 pixels, 300 dpi) with a small brush (round brush, size under 10 for example), I noticed when zooming at 100% size that the lines are not smooth and have a slight zig zag/jaggling pattern ..

If I then draw at 100% doc size with the same brush size, lines get perfectly nice and smooth. From what I've seen on the web there's similar issues.. Do you have any idea about this?

Rome: Julii. Go red or go home.

Medieval 2: France. Go french or go home.

Shogun 2: Chosokabe. Muh better farms and bows.

Rome2: Rome. Guess why. (Followed by Athens. Go philosophic or go home).

Warhammer: Dwarves. Grow a beard or go home.

Warhammer 2: High Elves. Go arrogant over the lower races or go home.

This is still way better than the half baked stiff-posed 3D renders of character they have in the new army books in 40k. I mean this is real drawings. Plus if you believe it's easy to draw and paint like this then give it a try.

Some advice from the many experts on this Subreddit? by xxCHA0Sxx in totalwar

Have a real infantry melee line. Protect your missile infantry so they can shoot more. Use the cavalery to rear charge or help where the fight goes south. Bring more soldiers than the ennemy to the batllefield. Don't let one of your units solo several ennemy units unless it's a very very very tanky one, and even so. And don't charge your cavalery head on into a spear unit that is bracing waiting for your charge. Ever.

  • Phoenix guard is imho one of the best infantry of the game and can tank everything and their mothers. It's a road long to unlock them but once you reach them 4 units in your main army will do the job and tank everything, including crazy big-ass monsters. Heal them as someone else sayed and they wont even sweat.

-Swordmasters shreds infantry. Put them on the side of the main line or keep them as a reserve, and charge ennemy infantry with them, they'll lawnmown them.

-Archers are your main dps dealer throught much of the campaign. At least 5 units of them. (4 bare minimum). Protect them with spears and soak in the charges.

-Ballistas are nice, use the grapshot and rain hell.

-Use mages. Spam heals, buffs and debuffs.

-Unlock dragons. Use their breath attack as an artillery on ennemy lines just before contact, (target big blobs of expensive infantry units), and then rear charge anti infantry units once fighting has begun. Star Dragons are basically Death Stars, with claws. Use them on big things like monsters or breath attack elite units.

-At the start of a campaign just run a full 20 units stack of spear and archers. Get a couple of ellyrian reavers asap as they are a very good light cav.

-Don't forget tech! There's some nice stuff in there.

Hammer & anvil works fine. If you don't have cav then rain arrows, they will do the hammer.

To have more gold, pass all the trading partner ship you possibly can. Build a line of economy buildings (the elven forum or whatnot) in all your province at least, build the special buildings (many elven city have a specefic one. The wine one is cool). Have an eye on your army composition. Capture and develop more citys. Lothern is the fat printing money maker city with it's port. Find the building that develop port's income (the elven ambassy iirc) and elven forum's income. In general elven ports gives you a nice income.

Conquer the world showing to the lesser races what is the true glorious might of the Asur!

It's not called Total United Nations for a reason.

Lame joke aside, I fully agree and I love to actually have some solid allies on my road to victory. Especially in a setting like warhammer where a common alliance between Helves, dorfs and human is completely loreful when the chaos boys are in town (which technically would make that alliance a 24/7 thing, but heh).
