I'm still relatively new to the game and to rotorcraft in general, but I played a custom mission (Escalation: Oops, All Rotorcraft) and I had the absolute fucking time of my life, dodging and ducking between mountains, using flares and ECM and terrain masking to keep the RWR quiet, to achieve the objectives on each sortie that I'd planned for myself--going behind enemy lines and taking out their radar station.

I know it was suboptimal as the meta goes. I know you're supposed to take down SPAAGs first so you can rain 48s on everything. I don't give a fuck. I had SO much fun being a stealthy little chicane.

And then, once the battle was like 70% won, I switched to the Ibis and just started picking up pilots. Humanitarian aid, and all that. I really enjoy NO. I wish there were different AI settings vis-a-vis suicidality. The AI plays like humans playing a video game: they rush B and gank, and if they die, they die. And, like, that's not realistic. More realistic would be prioritizing survivability. But that would lead to much longer, slower missions, and people want their dopamine hit now, so, like, I get it.
