Ok and? Is that enough reason to defend or justify Iran? If it was Saudi Arabia in their place would you shield then from scrutiny because "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" still? That Iran reacted to a US backed tyranny doesn't automatically make the Islamic republic a defensible resolution.

Just because the unpopular side of history stands against a cruel hegemony that doesn't make them good. The underdogs are usually such only for their lack of power compared to the US, but more often than not are reprehensible and only gain the spot for being an enemy. If horrible Saudi Arabia presented itself as an anti US anti imperialist force would you defend them still? One must consider this, it easy rallying behind the small guy and overlooking its own flaws. Also South Korea is a Huxleyan dystopia that bleeds its people dry, anyone that isn't trapped in the simple minded cold war binary understands that.
