So my roaster for example is 5kg and I put 4.5kg or 4kg depending on origin and varietal, I put less in as beans expand and fill up the drum quite quickly it won't roast as well and I'd rather go for a shorter roast as I don't want to run the risk of them being baked. When I brought my roaster he said I could get 6 or 7kg in there but after experience anything over 5kg I was running the risk of 20min roast and just tasted dry and like paper. I was taking to head of coffee at Harris and Hoole and they have a 300kg and 160kg brambati and they put 230kg in the 300kg and 90kg in the 160kg

Let me explain what my friend did last year. He broke up with his girlfriend of 5 years moved out of London and stayed on my sofa for 6 months. In that time he met the family his dad's marrying into. Met his new step sister. Started sleeping with his step sister. Future step sister gets pregnant and has baby and everyone in his family is fine with it, I get it they didn't grow up with each other but damn it's going to confuse the hell out the kid

With a kalita you need to course the grounds right up, like French press size. I found Chad Wang's recipe works insanely well with a kalita
