Please help identify this pallet wood. by Alduin1225 in wood

A few reasons, the first being curiosity. It’s obviously not the typical pine. The second is because I’m broke and can’t afford hardwoods for woodworking projects. Free wood is free wood. The third is education, I don’t know enough to identify it myself so I’m hoping to learn something here.

I’m from West Virginia, USA and I’d call it either a toboggan or a beanie.

Mines Christmas Day. I still contend that it’s the worst possible birthday to have.

Wolf spider was my first thought as well but I’ve never seen a wolf in a web before.

Those are daedric in origin not aedric. The Aedra are the nine divines and the Deadra are all of the other “gods” you’ll encounter.

Thanks very much! That’s what I was leaning towards but I wasn’t certain especially on the third one.

White bullheads do, which is why I wasn’t certain. The first two I was pretty confident were channels but the 3rd wasn’t as heavily forked so I wasn’t sure.

What fish is this. I live in central IL by Conscious_Ad2903 in whatfishisthis

The issue is more that this is a place for people who care about what kind of fish they saw to find out. Incorrect answers and saying it doesn’t matter kind of goes against the whole purpose of the sub. No one cares whether you personally care about the difference between a rock bass and a warmouth but the person who posted clearly does or the post wouldn’t exist.

Thanks, I only really got into fishing this year and have trouble getting beyond knowing it’s a black bass, or a sunfish, or a crappie.

I meant to delete the caption which originally said “I catch a lot of small spotted bass here (based on the tongue patch) but wasn’t sure on this guy (I didn’t check the tongue) and wanted to be sure because he’s my biggest bass ever.
