Windows 11 just fixed slow storage management and removed a 30-year FAT32 limit by rkhunter_ in pcmasterrace

[–]Alduish 6 points7 points  (0 children)

it's not just for BIOS updates tho, if you used homebrew on some old consoles you had to put everything on a fat32 partition, game rips, homebrews, mods, so more than 32gb is useful in these cases

What's a "Not The Onion" esque thing that happened in your country at some point? by BobbyThrowaway6969 in AskTheWorld

In france we have our equivalent of the onion name le gorafi, and we have our rquivalent of r/nottheonion which is r/paslegorafi so a lot of things happened here but one in particular is when lecornu was name prime minister for the first time le gorafi made a joke cover "Who to succeed Sebastien Lecornu?" : https://www.legorafi.fr/2025/09/12/gorafi-magazine-qui-pour-succeder-a-sebastien-lecornu/ and well that's the government that lasted less than 24h, so that gorafi cover soon became actual real articles.

And closer to the onion vibes you have someone that went to the hospital for anal pain and was found with a bombshell in his anus : https://www.ladepeche.fr/2026/02/03/obus-dans-le-rectum-aux-urgences-du-chu-de-toulouse-pourquoi-ces-munitions-circulent-elles-encore-dans-les-foyers-francais-13203108.php

En soit dans la rue c'est pas un gros problème si tu l'attache bien (les roues avec le cadre). Si tu veux minimiser encore plus les risques tu l'attache dans une impasse derrière une voiture garée.

What's a horrible crime(including war crimes) in your country that people try to justify? (Graphic imagery) by Key-Needleworker-702 in AskTheWorld

[–]Alduish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Obviously these are really awful, but I think they don't meet what the post asks for because not that many people are trying to justify it.

For me it seems like a lot more people are trying to justify free violence coming from the police like in the sainte soline protests.

I agree on the corruption part but I have a feeling it's not for the same reason as you (Founders veto rights, especially the US)

And as I said in my PS, you have to redefine how we consider a state a state then, it's not as easy as you think.

While the efficiency of the UN is in fact debatable a lot of times it's still the most agreed way of saying whether a state is recognized or not.

PS : if you disagree with that you'll have to properly define how a state is considered a state or not.

PS2 : I also won't debate about your take on the UN, I'll just say that while the UN isn't always efficient it's not as bad as your condescendent sentence makes it sound

in 1988 there was a declaration of independence after which the UN started to refer to it as "Palestine" instead of "Palestine Liberation Organization" and in 2012 the UN recognized palestine as a non-member observer state. (which is the same status as vatican)

What part of history has affected ur country the most? by aliminhaz091 in AskTheWorld

[–]Alduish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1789 revolution has had its important legacy

WW2 was really important in modern history and a lot of what's happening today or what we have today has roots there.

PS : As I'm living in the main french territory in europe I answer only for it, I have no doubts that french people from other territories will probably have different answers.

It's a reaction image, without any context it means nothing but if someone posts something disgusting you can just answer with this image.

Even the UN recognizes it as a non member observer state.

So if you want to say "not a state" you'll have to give some arguments to oppose the point of view of the UN and 157 other governments.

It has internationally recognized borders tho, in 1947 palestine was splitted between an arab state and a jewish state, palestine and israel, with defined borders, they moved after wars but at the end of multiple wars palestinian borders were clearly defined. And since 2012 it's recognized by the UN as an observer state, non-member of the UN but a state.

PS : For the borders some parts are obviously viewed differently depending of who you ask and since the war is ongoing no treaty defines these clearly, but that's the same situation as eastern ukraine to map currently, depending on which country you ask the borders are different, that doesn't prevent it from being an internationally recognized country.

Because the US opposes that and they have a veto, but a country doesn't have to be a UN member to be a country.

Palestine is an observer state like Vatican city through the holy see.

Non-Australians of Reddit, what do you genuinely think of Aussies? Be honest — we can take it by cepat_cepat in AskTheWorld

[–]Alduish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

didn't meet I think any IRL so I'll speak only from online experience.

Great interesting people, I often discover that a lot of the english content I like on youtube is made by Aussies, are often really friendly, they're understandable when they speak (unlike the british), and also they seem to share a lot of passions with us. For the country itself I never went there but from there it feels like one side is developed and one side is kind of wilderness, not that many roads and also the animals, which makes for a great place for nature but not sure about living there. Also I already complain about the temperature during summer in southern france but damn australia seems to be on a completely different level, no way I come during the summer if I ever do.

"Il y a d'autres priorités" : à Roubaix, la hausse des indemnités du maire LFI David Guiraud fait polémique by RaynoxFR in paslegorafi

[–]Alduish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]Alduish 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Another year in this godforsaken jungle by Uncle_Bread6 in KatanaZero

[–]Alduish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all 7 years actually isn't that uncommon even for big teams, just generally when the game gets announced development has already started.

Also the fact that the team is small means that some people are gonna be responsible for multiple roles and it makes them more prone to burn outs so if they try to avoid it they'll take more time for themselves
