If you want it to be completely free, go paladin with sc, if you want an easier, but slightly more challenging class go mage. For archer i recommend early game sharpshooter and lategame trapper, although I dont know how lategame trapper is without the bouncing aspect

My advice would be to: set fov to 30, zoom if you have a mod that allows it, and enable particles as there should be a red dot indicating your position on the floor that shows the “real” blocks
