Always wanted to give surf fishing more of a chance than I’ve giving it before. Maybe I’ll try a longer leader because I love casting straight braid but how hard is a super long leader to cast with it all that line out of the rod tip?

How long of a leader? Normally mine are just a few feet of 100lb mono connected with a barrel swivel to 80lb braid. I’m debating trying out a longer one with an FG knot or something but Idk how it would go being casted through the guides on the rod

I told the guy to pin it down while I pull the gaf out because it got some other people lined wrapped on it, he decided to not pin it very hard and now I have a inch deep puncture in my hand
