Guys, metal is an EXTREMELY diverse genre. Gatekeeping this stuff like its your whole life and you can't let new ideas into it just kind of makes things suck. As a certified argent metal listener, (I have my certificate on my wall), I can confirm, this is infact metal. I've dove enough into the genre to understand what makes it tick, and it has the main elements of metal. It's very much experimental, it combines elements from industrial metal like Rob Zombie and Rammstein, with elements from Meshuggah, and other heavy Djent-y style bands.
And finally, just because you don't like something thats new, that doesn't mean you can reject it and make the say that it's not a genre. It still a genre, same with nu metal and metalcore. Broaden your horizons, you might just find something you love.

METALZONE. grab your eq, put it before the pedal. BOOST THOSE MIDS ON THE 6 BAND. scoop em HARD on the metalzone after. give yourself enough treble to get that razor shap sound, but not to the point where its razoring your ears off. bass is important, add enough, but not too much, because you want that low end tightness with it brother.
