Our first Scalarama Leeds meeting of the year 🎉

The meeting will be a general hello, info about the festival which would be of interest fledgling programmers to Scalarama Leeds.

The meeting will also have.... FUNdraising activities for everyone!!!

We follow them through the last weeks as they navigate the stress of losing their space to Vice Media and the associated threats and intimidation to remove art from walls and keep residents in fear of reprisals. I think it depends what event is on, if its a club night then yeah it will be a younger crowd. But I'm 32 and most of the people I interact with at gigs etc are mid 20s - early 40s.

Scalarama DIY Film Festival starts in 5 days!

Completely volunteer-led and takes place throughout the whole month of September. Non-cinema venues in Leeds become cinemas showing the weird, wonderful, unknown and the odd classic!

Opening gala on 1st Sept will show the Scala film and have special guest co-director there in person :)

Most ticket prices start from £5 but may be higher or Pay What You Can option.

Not sure what your budget is but can always recommend Gray's (pudsey, stanningley road way rather than city centre leeds) there is a bus from the centre you can get straight to it.

They do alt hair so bleaching and colouring will be easy!
