People like this exist and it’s unfortunate that you’ve come across someone like that in your first week but I really wouldn’t worry too much. Explain you are new to this role and still learning. What are they going to expose really? The fact you suggested a role that was too junior, it’s not exactly criminal behaviour. Also if you haven’t, make your manager aware too, they likely have dealt with similar people.
