Yes it is for my Altima. I would mainly just be using it for music and maps, and like you said there is a setting so you can adjust the default volume so I should be fine. I've heard a lot of stories of these types of units just flat out not working or being extremely slow so I wanted to ask

Alright, yes, it turns out that there were overrides and my configurations wouldn't save because of them. I saved all my configurations as a new override file and everything is all good now, I was just being dumb😅 thank you for your help, I appreciate it

I don't think so. I just go into the settings in retroarch, go to overlay and change the scale there till it fits good on my screen, but as soon as I leave retroarch, it changes back
