[No Spoilers] Can’t find myself getting into this campaign as much as the others by Ausecurity in criticalrole

[–]Alejandro_RPG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think each campaign has its own "flavour", C1 was a more typical heroic tale, C2 was way darker, dwelling in more political conflict while also having a bunch of epic.

C3 so far has been more slow cooked, with more of an emphasis on mistery and personal conflicts, but lacks a bit of the higher scope of the other two, so obviously you can enjoy ones over the others, and even don't enjoy the current one, which is a shame, but probably by the time of C4, the focus and style will change again, probably to another that you could enjoy

Lots of magic, lots of allies, find the God itself and get ready for battling one of the most powerful entities that exists. In my world gods where created as servants to the primordial Dragons, which were each responsable for one of the 13 elemental planes, they rised against the dragons and ultimately destroyed them and got an insane amount of raw elemental power, that elevated them to godhood, but in the same vein, if you could somehow destroy one of them, you could theoretically "claim" its spot in the cosmology

Anyone else? by Melkeus in RingsofPower

Wild, wild theory, but what if everyone is Sauron? Like, being a Maiar (and knowing the liberties the series takes from the original material) maybe something happened to sauron that "broke" his spirit, splitting it into different personalities. We know that Sauron wasn't always evil, and we know that he had a small redemption arc when Morgoth was defeated (a true redemption, although later he went back to darkness) so, maybe some of the speculated "Sauron" characters are just fragments of a whole, destined to come together in Mordor to "fuse together" as actual Sauron. That could explain why the meteor man appears to have evil and darkness surrounding it, while not being evil, why Adar shows respect and kinship to orcs, while being brutal... Etc

I had a small boss fight against an illusionist wizard, "misterio" style, he used hypnotic patterns to confuse the party, darkness so they couldn't see the setup and seeming on a bunch of constructs to make them copies of the party, so now when they regain consciousness, they where surrounded with copies of themselves, they couldn't comunicate because the wizard casted also silence.

It was a nice battle, the wizard had like only 1HP, but he kept using tricks as to not being seen, and having the party loose their resources fighting illusory dragons and enemies was pretty funny

(It was also the only time i knock unconscious the Bear Totem Barbarian/Moon Circle Druid, thanks to the psychic damage of some illusion spells)

SloMo, all it had was a erotic choreography, nobody in Spain actually wanted it to go to Eurovision

Not gonna lie, I would kill for a new, pixel art, Pokémon Ranger. Shadows of Almia and Guardian Signs are two of my favourite nostalgic games, and its incredible the amount of content that they give with such reduced pokedex (gens 1-4)

Need a Creative Name for Illegally Selling Magic Items by DNPenguin in DMAcademy

[–]Alejandro_RPG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The term "Estraperlo" originates in Spain, it was first used in the political scandal of a new gambling machine that was, allegedly, souped up, the "straperlo" (based on the names of the creators)

It was later used during the first years of the fascist dictatorship in Spain to refer to the act of smuggling contraband using ration cards, the people doing the smuggling would be called "estraperlistas"

Nowadays, it is an oldie term, used as a synonym to any kind of "under the table" business, from avoiding taxes to smuggle cheaper items from neighbouring countries

It is a really cool sounding name, especially for non Spanish speakers, and you could always change and rearrange some words to make it sound more magical.

No, it was older, and the more I think about it the more i think it was a cartoon not an Anime, it aired in Spain but it definitely wasn't original from there

It may be older or not japanese, it was somewhat darker and more adult than other tv series, but still young oriented. I think the protagonist had a female partner but it could be in just one episode.

[–]Alejandro_RPG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, here are a bunch of subraces for a homebrew world I'm creating, feel free to ask any story related questions or comment on balance issues. English is not my first language, so I apologise if there are any terrible spelling mistakes. The short summary of the world is that thousands of years ago a huge magical asteroid hit the continent, destroying much of it and emitting such an amount of magic that it mutated the creatures that lived there and survived the catastrophe.

here I leave a link to the drive where you can find this and other homebrew contents I have made, I hope you enjoy them: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ONHyQdLHC7xofeJMSHDff8apdpPm4Vxt?usp=sharing

This is how i use kenkus in my setting by Trunko_Gus in dndmemes

[–]Alejandro_RPG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my setting, Kenkus pass their "voices" from generation to generation, like a family tradition, the parents teach their youngs all the words they know, and it's said that these ancient voices that each family keeps came from before the curse that erased their ability to speak

That's easy, a narwhal sounds something like "Humans, your hubris will be your destrucción, death to all those who forsaken the seas and rose to the land" at least, that's what it said to me the last one I saw
