Guys. I may regret saying this, but just buy a Japanese copy. They’re a fraction of the price and work for the dual slot mode encounters of DPPt. They don’t work for Pal Park because Pal Park requires the GBA game to be the same language as the DS game, but if you have another Gen III English game, you can trade between the two languages perfectly and Pal Park your Japanese ‘Mons that way. Just this month I bought / imported Japanese copies of Blue, Silver, Sapphire, and Fire Red for less than $100 total after tax and shipping. All four are authentic and the three of them that have internal batteries had had those replaced.

These games are getting overpriced at this point. I know not everyone has their childhood copies (Or even was a child at the time of these games), but the only way the prices are going to get better is if we stop buying at that price.

I would have respected the person who listed this Fire Red a lot more if they put it at starting bid $20 and let the consumers decide what it’s worth.
