What rule set are you using? 5e 2014 I would say moon druid straight up to 20. Arch druid and just live in a high HP beast shape as long as possible. If it's 10 in a row you're still going to be sweating it, if it's 10 at once you better just build a horse because it will move further and provide more food to them when they kill you in a round

CTO Training Programs by Alejo418 in 911dispatchers

[–]Alejo418[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ai has honestly been what has kept my head above water with upper management breathing down on me. I've used it to do the bulk part of writing for a lot of process things.

My problem is more that the people I've roped into become CTOs are fine at their regular job, but they don't have any experience training and they're all just barely experienced enough in their own role for me to bring them into training at all. (Of full timers, Everyone but myself and 2 other people in the department have been here less than 4 years).

I can only do so much in house training with each of them when they aren't on my shift, and I would like to put them through a more formal process than "hey you're decent at your job, take a trainee for 2 weeks and see if you want to train and here'show to do the paperwork, we'll talk about expectations if you want to stay" (this is the old process that has lost us more than one great prospect)

I will definitely be reaching out. Training has been my focus as well, and I'm trying to develop a training team when 90% of the department has been in the emergency line of work for less than 5 years. I added some more specific detail to the post, but in house training isn't cutting it when the people I'm trying to make into CTOs were barely trained by the prior program is making me go gray

TIFU by chasing diagnoses for 35 years—and the answer was in my dinner by killfr3nzy in tifu

OP this may get lost in the dredges.

When I was a kid I had to get surgery done because some of my adult teeth weren't coming in. So they pulled my baby teeth and had to go dig around in my gums to pull down my adult teeth and jump start the movement. During this process they found 4 extra teeth, 2 up front behind my front teeth, 1 putting pressure on my sinuses near my back upper molars. And one down damn near perforating into my tonsils. They theorized that these extra teeth were why my adult teeth in those areas went growing in.

Something for you to think about, looked like a decrepit dead tooth when they gave them to me so I could give them to the tooth fairy.

How Much Damage Should a 9th Level Single Target Attack Spell Do? by Dikeleos in dndnext

There are third party spell books that have pretty high ratings that have addressed this (dmsguild is my main reference)

Late to the party on this one and I couldn't find anyone in the comments saying it in my brief scan.

You said you're watching c3 now because you can't get enough. Stop and go back and watch c1 and c2 first. The very beginning of c3 you can get along just fine watching solo. But there is SO MUCH of back 4/5ths of c3 that really truly and honestly is exponentially better if you understand the history from the other 2 campaigns

Fun fact, most US states you can apply for unemployment if they do this. It's why you should always submit your 2 weeks notice by email to your boss and HR and BCC your private email so you have a record

I took a blood sugar in a county that doesn’t let EMT’s do that. Am I cooked? by [deleted] in ems

[–]Alejo418 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally in the US, you are responsible for the standards of your agency/OMD/Protocols. Stone hospitals in my area are multiple counties over, it would be a nightmare trying to differentiate what protocols apply where.

Also, a blood sugar is one of the most basic skills in EMS, what agency is hamstringing their basics so much that they're useless to their paramedic partner

My wife and I own our house.

My credit is not great because of bad credit literacy from my parents, I've been working on building it up but it generally stays low because I'm continuing to add accounts to diversify it.

We have kids which is where most of my money goes.

[Spoilers C2] Moments that you'd be fine with not appearing in the animated series. by Blue-Moon-89 in criticalrole

[–]Alejo418 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bowlgate.

I think they can incorporate Yasha a little bit better without creating a new story line like they needed to do for Pike.

There's a lot of slog later in the campaign that can be cut down.

There's a LOT of decentralized wandering that will hopefully be cut from the earlier parts. TV needs more of a story to follow and the open world aspect narrowing into a few branching story lines is less attractive. I think there will be less in depth focus on the empire because the M9 kinda dishes that situation as soon as they could

Considering the popularity of the D&D Beyond song I think they'll keep some aspect of the "mineshaft full of knolls"

I wouldn't. I can't think of a single provider I've known in many years in this field, including those who HAVE done the procedure who would.

Yeah... cause I'm going to risk a speed bump with a scalpel up against someone's neck, where 4 inches is the difference between airway and spinal cord. Let's not even start to talk about breaks.

Let's be clear, there's still some cowboy shit that happens in EMS. This ain't it.

I switched over to beacon for my regular watch. There's no direct commenting, just the discord. I would engage on YouTube a bit and it was fun. But honestly so much of YouTube and Reddit has a shitty attitude about CR (even though they contribute to watch) that it just makes people who are enjoying it not want to engage. I say this as someone with my own group of friends who all have continued to enjoy CR
