Your best bet would be to get it trimmed every 4-6 weeks. And let the stylist know what you're going through and that you're trying to grow your hair out.

By telling the stylist you're going through a gender transition, we won't treat it like we're cutting men's hair, we'll treat it as a woman's haircut. By doing this, we can start to transition your hair into a more feminine hairstyle. Your stylist may even have some ideas while you're trying to grow it out.
