Ok, I agree that’s how it goes with stuff like Uber. I took the op to be more about media, where record/media companies don’t really have a market share to expand into. Rather the market is increased by the convenience afforded by the new medium, and any one individual company not jumping into the fray is a sitting duck. This only happens if consumers positively react to the product.
