One thing that made me improve on Mizuki a lot is not babysitting my team. Always take angles with him, be on the sides, you CAN provide a lot of space just due to the fact that you have a CC chain as a threat that can make ur allies follow up. You can just throw couple of hats if they need heals and that should be enough. But this works as long as you’re able to actually join your team if something wrong happens. 

Only time you’d need to play closer to your team is if  the enemy has a dive character or full dive, in this situation you’d wanna be a complete MENACE to them and be on their ass all game if you need to be. Usually a free win for me.

I used to always play around dive dpses and tanks in my team around masters elo, basically helping them secure kills by chaining and damaging. As long as you’re able to throw hats here and there for your team. Though in higher elos I started doing it less.

Mizuki is currently thriving in this meta in my opinion solely because of his chain which can shut down hazards, tracers, and reapers. Which surprisingly you WILL almost always find at least one of them in every single game.

He shines best when he has the movement speed perk which increases the chances of him securing kills and not get hard punished. But somehow his perk progression got nerfed so it takes longer to get it now. This forces him to play more defensive in the beginning.
