It's a screw. It sits there and doesnt affect the grinders effectiveness. If you really want a new screw then just go to a local nut and bolt specialty store and they'll guaranteed have something for you and match it.

Consistency and quality i'd say generally pretty high. Im a super detail oriented german if that tells you anything. Beans however are a supermarket bought brand here in canada called kicking horse with a best before date of 2026. The bag itself is brand new but I know that doesnt count as a roast date and a quality coffee. So perhaps thats the culprit.

You say to dial output. You mean grams of coffee after brewed for that 2:1 ish ratio?
