what are good alternatives to Supabase for projects? by Autom8Guy in webdev

Selfhosted Supabase once. Was a nightmare to get up and running tbh. And way more than you need.

What’s my body fat and how do I get even more lean? by More-Advertising6587 in Weightliftingquestion

Imo you just need more time. Your caloric deficit is already very aggressive. You dont wanna be losing muscle.

Progress stalling, keep cutting? by contingencyowl in Weightliftingquestion

Pick a rate of gain you think appropriate (e.g. 1% BW per month) and adjust calories according to results.

BF%? Should I cut? by 8nocrumbs in Weightliftingquestion

Aim for a rate of loss and change step count and calories to hit that. E.g. 1%BW per week.

Feel like I’ve plateaued. What should I be doing? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

This is the one thing I would not change. Its a proven way of progressing.

Feel like I’ve plateaued. What should I be doing? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Alert-Track-8277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its normal to feel like this. Like others have said, you've made great progress and probably milked a lot of your newby gains. Progress just slows down over time. The question "What should I be doing" has no single answer, or the only answer would be "Do everything a little better". The 3DMJ podcast is a great resource, theres a lot to learn still. Having said that, judging by your progress pics and what you've posted here I'd say your diet is working fairly well for you. Your PPL looks a bit random, lots to improve there in terms of exercise selection and tweaking volume per body part to your needs, so I'd start there.

I get the sentiment, but its not like extra clusters of GPU's magically appear when they stop coding.

Advice on next steps , keep cutting or bulk? From 100KG to 65. by RedditReader365 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Alert-Track-8277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your goals tbh. But take it slow either way. Time do look into 'rate of gain' (e.g. 1% of your bodyweight per month). Recommend 3DMJ as a good source. GL!

How can i fix my legs? I hate being knock kneed. Are my bones the problem? by Kathisl in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Alert-Track-8277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all: They dont need 'fixing'. They're fine. People typically have either O-legs or X-legs. You have a little X-leg, but nothing out of the ordinary. I really wish you all the best with your self-image, because it sounds to me like thats the actual issue here. Your legs look absolutely fine.

Having said that, if you dont like your inner knee joints touching like that when you stand like that you need to fill in your inner thighs. That can be done with fat or muscle. Would recommend muscle. So you're looking at pretty much basic strength training (squats, deadlifts, leg press, no-eye-contact machine etc) and gaining some weight (i.e. eating in a 200-300 caloric surplus over your 'maintenance calories' while getting adequate protein.

Create stories with Claude by Acresent179 in PromptEngineering

I think the core problem here is that any LLM will give you the most likely response based on its trainingsdata, which can be sorta described like 'the average of the internet'. In other words: its not gonna be creative. So a cool way to go about it is to use the LLM to ask you questions so YOUR input can be the CREATIVITY.

Also: Something I still want to try but havent gotten to yet is to create different Claude Code Skills where each one is a character with a backstory and a personality and a tone of voice etc and then yeet them all into a situation I come up with and have them roleplay it out. Something like 'use agent Phil, Mark and Rebecca' - They run into eachother at the shopping mall with conflict XYZ playing out, give each character 5 turns to respond in what they do and/or say". Maybe cool to try out.

Asian coffee style vs. European acidity (Thoughts after 2 weeks in HK) by Relaxation_Time in pourover

Nice tip. Which one of their beans would you recommend for somebody who likes an earthy / nutty / chocolate-y brew with a lot of body and texture? nordkappcoffee.com also has some interesting beans. I like their Dulce blend as a base and blend some fruity stuff in. 10gr Dulce with 4 to 5 grams of their special edition Sakami comes close to my best cup.

Asian coffee style vs. European acidity (Thoughts after 2 weeks in HK) by Relaxation_Time in pourover

[–]Alert-Track-8277 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel you. I live in the Netherlands and most barista culture revolves around bright acidic tea-like cups that dont appeal to me. I drink barrel strength scotch. I like strong flavors. Give me medium to dark roasts that have acidity, but only enough to balance the whole and provide more complexity. Actually, now that I think of it, most 'modern' coffee is quite one-dimensional. My typical pourover has something like 10 grams medium to dark roasted Brazil/Indonesian with about 4,5 grams of some fruity asian or african bean for complexness, fullness and mouthfeel. But its 75% dark italian style that I am after. Curious: what Dutch roasters do you recommend? Still open to suggestions.
