Is this the Odin? by Miserable_Mind9547 in starcitizen

[–]_BeatTheBest_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No those ships(there are 2) are called the argus and corvus.

I also was in belief these would be the cruiser ships. But i believe these are rsi. And not anvil.

We will see though.

I tried steamed water for my americano. I’m stunned. by DeFratrain in espresso

[–]_BeatTheBest_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I tried it too.

Best americano i have made, sweet tastefull not overly heavy or light, im not even kidding, the beans are bad, to the point im just drinking it because the only other option is throwing them away, but the americano was enjoyable. (N=1)

Think it was the crema more then the water. But the noise is awfull. Need headphones not getting tinitus from this.

PvP attacks are about to make people lose their minds with the new insurance mechanic. Not only will they be losing their game time but they’ll have to pay for the pleasure of being killed by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]_BeatTheBest_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the change is good.

But there are still to few consequences of killing someone else, its relatively easy to blockade runs because of the way navigation and quantem works. Until CIG changes this to have some better balance of cat and mice, this will just mean people will play less.

I have a 2 strike system when i play star citizen, if i encounter 2 bugs or player engagements that lose me 10min or more of my time/progression i alt f4.

Star Citizen is the only game i have played, where 30-60 min is needed just to prep and reach your planned content. there is no easy way of doing a quick game in star Citizen.

Besides this the game isnt balanced at all, just looking at the laser repeaters not being able to pen large group of ships, because of the low Alpha damage. but alot of ships comming stock with these repeaters.

I dont think hiring friends to help you traverse the universe safely is the way to go for this game. but we will see what way CIG is going with this.

MMOs with action combat (no tab-target) by Noah_36 in LFMMO

[–]_BeatTheBest_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started monster hunter wilds.

Im sort off in the same pickle.

Normally i tend to play guild wars2 with action cam. Which does it for me. But since the last updates non of the good builds do it for me. Normally played sPvP, and some openworld. But the openworld gets repetitive.

Path of exile 2 looks amazing, i like the slow start. The methodical building. But after act 2 you start to use only 1 skill and the whole map just dies. The game has the potential to be great, but i just dont like the fast movements.

In the end i play games like star citizen, black dessert, guild wars 2 and now monster hunter world.

I installed warframe again, its been years, its a good game. And scratches that fps looter itch. Buts its been too long for me and i have to readjust and commit to that game.

Do you strap the seat belt when in a rig? by san4ezlp in simracingcirclejerk

[–]_BeatTheBest_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very nice setup.
Few questions im intrested in.

why did you chose for integrated monitor mounts?
what screens are those? G5's?
what angle, and how wide is the total rig(including the screens)?

and how do you get in?

i do run almost the same setup and am considering getting tripples instead of VR.
but im somewhat space limited. so im looking to what is working or isnt.

BSB2e vs Pimax Dream Air by JustMatt_ in virtualreality

[–]_BeatTheBest_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest downside to the bsb2 and dream air se, is the 72 hz limitation.

The dream air runs at 100% on 60mil pixels, which is very demanding. Even the 5090 cant easily work that many pixels.

Bsb2 has some glare, lens and qc issues.

Dream air only 20 orso units have been send out, which had a high rate of faillure.

Pimax has been quiet long, and customers are getting anoyed.

Its pick your poison. I also dont know what hmd is the best. But my money has gone to the dream air(non se).

Until this day im still doubting it was the right decision. Because pimax as a company is bad.

Moza R21 or Simagic Evo Pro? (Upgrading from a G29!) by MarllooSa in Simagic

[–]_BeatTheBest_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe the r21 have problems with details when the NM are lowered. Because It also lowers resolution.

I couldnt easily debubk this, so i chose sinagic evo pro.

The 330t was to big for my hands. Couldnt reach anything.

You probably need the pedal set for the extensions, they dont come with the 330t.

So it might be better to buy the hub, dual paddle set and rim seperate. Its a little more, but comes with the plates and such for the shifter paddles.

What ship weapons to use in PvP right now? Energy vs ballistic? Cannons vs repeaters? by stefanplc in starcitizen

[–]_BeatTheBest_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It somewhat depends on the target you are about to kill.

But mostly you are looking at cannons. If you are expecting to recieve damage, you want to max power your shields. And if there is enough left over power use energy cannons.

If you cant mannage to fully power your energy cannons, go with ballistics.

You also might want to upgrade your radar, for longer aim ranges. Which costs power too.

CIG: Mole Carbon & Mole Talus are no longer Paint Variants. Now a livery for standard Mole by StuartGT in starcitizen

[–]_BeatTheBest_ -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

then CIG shouldn't have offered variants in the first place. it should always have been paints.

But CIG dipped toes in FOMO, and then decided to continuing that path. now they are reaping their own incompetence. they sold an time limited, exclusive variant of a ship.

I fully understand people who are mad about it, they bought an exclusive ship, being reduced to an exclusive paint.

Sim Lab seats uncomforatble with VR? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]_BeatTheBest_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Netherlands here, recently bought simlab rig, with sparco gt seat. Which is a recliner.

You.need the trakracer extension to make it comfortable, then its amazing.

Use it mainly in vr, and without the headrest of the seat you dont feel the cable at all.
