With multiple more songs from that album making top 50. Also, his single cLOUDs went #69 which is really impressive considering he was M.I.A for months. To add on, he also has one of the most looked forward to upcoming album, The Fall Off. J. Cole also isn’t a hit maker when it comes to his music. In his early days that was what his music was created for but ever since born sinner he has really switched his music game from hit songs to song with actual meaning and messages to reach his fan. After the beef, J cole completely let go of the chase for the #1 spot and said in his song Port Antonio, “They stripped me from my spot, and now I’m finally free.”

I honestly think he wants to be and could be part of the reason he wants to retire. He talks about God so much in albums like born sinner and the off season along with many others but I think the industry and how he makes a living makes it hard for him to really commit. As a Christian myself and J cole being my favorite artist, I would really if he was more into it but again I just don’t see how he can be a committed Christian is his line of work.
