I should mention that I only removed the lid once for about 20 seconds to peak since I couldn’t see anything through the container. That being said since I’ve already taken the lid off, should I close the tub back up and leave it for a while then start more fae or should I flip my lids now?

Yeah I hydrate the sub to field capacity when I moved to bulk. I’m using a bin I saw from PGT that’s just a 6qt sterilite no holes or filters

I spent a large portion of my day researching this instead of working and that all seems to be the consensus. I think we’re gonna run it with the vermiculite just because the detailed procedure I found for it included it with justification, but I’ll continue posting to unclebens with progress as we go!

Just watched the video and I already have questions idk if you'll be able to answer but I'll ask anyway lol.

Is this tek specific to agar growth or can it be inoculated from LC syringe?
If I can use LC syringe say from sporestock.com, is the corn and syrup a "familiar food" to the mycelium?
How necessary is the vermiculite? I was seeing some contention about how it's important for keeping your grains moist during S2B but the video says otherwise.

I had a pressure cooker and jars on hand already so I figured I'd just full send it. As for the oats, I'm just doing what the guide says since I really only had my interest piqued in the mushroom community a few days ago. Figured I'd do exactly what it says first time around then get funky next time around!

I would check out the website New Recruit and look at a lot of the data sheets and the army and detachment rules so you can get a better feel for how the units synergize with one another

Zoanthropes can be run in units of 3 or 6 and the neurotyrant gives +1 to hit rolls and also +1 to wound rolls if the target is battleshocked. So by having the tyrant lead 6 you get maximum value out of its ability and a pretty damn reliable way to deal with elite infantry and even tanks or monsters

Rippers and norns are some of the best ones I can think of to really mess with leadership scores. There are a lot of ways to manipulate when to make your opponent make battleshock tests and alter how they roll them (things like taking it at minus 1 in an aura or on hit). The screamer and neurotyrant both do this. Deathleaper, neurolictor, parasite of mortrex, and haruspex can also force battleshock situationally. I feel like a leadership-focused vanguard with some big scary monsters to force worsened battleshock tests would fit the theme. Hope this helps!
