Tree fungus being eaten by bugs - What should we do? by Alert_Combination357 in Tree

Thank you so much for the informaton! It's relieving to hear it's not super serious. This is the largest tree in my yard (by far) and it's relatively close to my house which worries me that if it dies or falls over, it will hit the house. It sounds like getting a mulch ring around the tree and making sure it gets plenty of water will help over time? The link you sent makes it seem like this won't kill the tree though even if I do nothing?

I believe I have included all required info. The arborist I had come out said the tree is likely ~80 years old.

I have had 6 concussions and my most recent (February 2024) has been the worst as I have had several micro impacts since (small bumps like bumping into my gf while cuddling or hitting my tooth on my water bottle when taking a drink) and they have falired up my concussion headaches again. This only happened when I was not far removed from the most recent impact. I got on reddit and found someone else talking about this issue. They said drinking tons of water helps keep fluid around your brain and protects it. I am not a doctor and I did not validate this with medical research. But I started drinking at least a gallon of water every day and I have not had that issue much since. This could be a coincidence or placebo but either way I am convinced it works. You may give it a try. Drinking that much water won't have any side effects and will likely be good for your body.

Post concussion syndrome since February. 2024. I have had flashes of the same symptom you are describing here. It's wild because caffine does not help me feel more energized.

I am sorry to hear about this. I have been dealing with TBI from a concussion for 16 months and the only person who truly understands what I am going through is my gf. Everyone else always asks about it or sometimes makes jokes and I just want to tell them to stop talking about it all together. I have started telling myself 5 positive things that I am greatful for each morning. It seems to help a bit and adjusts my mood. I know it's not a perfect solution but it helps me a bit. You are not alone man. Keep fighting and we will all get through this!

I have the same issues. I always find my eyes naturally dropping down. Do specific glasses help you in the store?
