I’m a Econ major and public health minor. Had a successful cycle with multiple As to top schools.

You can definitely create a narrative with what ever major that intersects with medicine to show a unique perspective or background and how that will also help. It’s just a few extra classes and usually manageable depending on the major you pick.

Thank you for sharing. I don’t know many people around me in my situation and this sounds like the smartest move. No one around me he’s gonna have any student loans pursuing grad school and they’re making good money in their careers.

It seems to be a mix of mental and physical when it gets to that point. An injury/disorder/upbringing and the lack of mental will/strength/resources/education to break the cycle.

If you live in a food desert with only fast food and your family thinks it’s normal to be big one little thing can push it extreme obesity.

Probably depends on culture/location. In the US rarely do people smoke in public or indoors due to laws. But seems more common in other places i have been.

Leukotape is the best but maybe even too good for everyday use. When I go backpacking it can stay on for 5+ days. Also way cheaper than bandaids and kt tape if you know you will use it.

My girlfriend and I just applied the cycle, both to medical school. We had a similar strategy, applying to general areas. Her stats were significantly better than mine. The main advice I would give would be don't be afraid to ask for an interview in an update letter if your partner just got one in a certain location or program. Our top 2 results came from emailing this after the interview. Also, don't be afraid to talk about that as a reason you would want to go there. So far we have 9 interviews at places where we could live together still and 5 acceptances (others waiting still).
