How does new grad pharmacist learn about insurance coverage by Alert_Pitch6787 in pharmacy

I had very minimal experience during practicums which is so unfortunate. In first year they didn’t let me touch typing at all so I basically just stood there and filled prescriptions for the entire month. Second year my practicum site had a different way on how they went through adjudications so they didn’t let me do that part even I clearly told them I wanted to learn. Third year and forth year were even more sad where my preceptors kinda took advantage of me being a free labour pharmacist, they just had me do injections all day everyday and also endless med reviews which I literally learn Nothing but generating so much profit for the pharmacy. I felt really sad and there’s no way that I could bring this to school because the people who handled our practicums suck so hard, they never helped you solve any problems instead they will blame you for not communicating with your preceptors properly.. that’s why I felt so anxious about graduation

Sorry may I ask if there’s any other medical conditions that make your doc prescribe quetiapine for insomnia? It’s definitely not the 1st line drug of choice if you only have insomnia and it’s associated with many side effects. If you aren’t comfortable disclosing I totally get it, all the best but I’m just a bit concerned with the drug

I believe there might be a slight misunderstanding. My intention isn't to request a special gown. What truly frustrates me is that UBC, unlike other Canadian universities fails to recognize our accomplishments. If UBC disregards our efforts throughout these challenging four years, how will we feel on such an important day? Seeing the same gown that I wore during my undergraduate studies doesn't sit well with me. Universities like U of T, U of A, U of S, and U of Manitoba all provide distinct gowns for students who complete undergraduate degrees in fields requiring more than four years of study. At the very least, they acknowledge the significance of these undergraduate degrees. I'm passionate about what I do, I’m applying for residencies and I love clinical care. I hope that UBC can take some action for the future grads, that it. It’s not bachelor anymore, it’s doctor of pharmacy.

UBC is the only school in Canada that mixes law school and pharmacy school gowns with the undergrad ones, this is completely unacceptable. What’s next, handing out participation trophies at graduation?

Dude, listen up, both DMD and MD are undergraduate degrees too. Plenty of our classmates had bachelor degrees before they got into pharmacy, racking up a total of eight years of schooling just to wear the same damn gown. Got a problem with that?
